Erthquake in Southern Cali

Heard about it like 5 minutes ago on Ultimate-Guitar.com/forums.

It's old news now, gaw.

Went by pretty quickly here, it was over before I had a chance to care lol

Shaking was like 10 seconds long
And I live right down here, next to Chino Hills (Where it came from)
I can't get a cell phone signal anywhere

I live 20 minutes from you!!11one

I was swimming at the time, i didn't feel much, but when i came up, i saw everyone bolting out of the gym, i didn't even know it was an earthquake until about 5 minutes later.

Everyone seems so surprised...come on, we were due, i thought it would be bigger.

Dammit, no phones working still. In case you don't know, they shut down all phone lines except emergency lines to ease traffic for anyone in danger after these things happen.

What city you live in?

Yeah, we were expecting one, btu I thought it was suppose to be bigger
And then I heard that there's a small possibility of an even bigger one

Ah, okay that's why

Acepilot on Steam chat last night: I live in Los Angeles on the coast
Me: Earthquake territory
Darkedge: nah that's San Fran

Spooky...

i live in santa monica but i was in my car while it hit so i didn't feel it! earthquakes are awesome bday presents.

West Covina. I have good friends in your area...

420 posts! Time to celebrate!

I didn't feel it.

I live in Florida though so that is why. :p

Oh
In Yorba-Linda?
I live in Fullerton, which is right by

I thought you said you were from chino hills, lol, but i still have friends in your area. None in Yorba linda, but my friend hates me to mention that city because of a certain person. I know a few people from fullerton, i was actually planning to go to CSUF, but didn't.

Anyway, the phones are working again. Everyone get back to normal, its nothing big, if it was a 7.0 that lasted 15 seconds and destroyed everything, then you can panic, but nothing happened (news is blowing this out of proportion)

That was some crazy shit, I live like 6 miles from the epicenter.

The people on the West side of Nevada are gonna have ocean front property soon! :afro:

No, I said it came from Chino Hills lol
I live kinda near it, not exactly. But a few cities over

I do agree, the news is exagerating. And they're showing L.A.
They should be showing Chino Hills and all that. Nothing is destroyed, and it's such a big deal. My brother was on the road when it happened, and we haven't gotten a call from him or anything, but we believe he made it to his school safely.

Everyone's cell phones are all out over here, no calls can get through, although we can still receive...

Maybe it was like a Cloverfield thing, except there's a delay int he explosions...and the monster. Soon Chino Hills is gonna be destroyed

Okay, I've got my pocket knife, BB gun...
what else do I need in case of a cloverfield?

I was on the toilet when this happened, i loled as I got slightly rocked while taking a crap

actually, I wasn't asleep. Maybe I was just too far north.

HAW HAW southern california. Even the rest of california doesn't care.

hahahaha, that earthquake was fun. I wish we had more of them at that magnitude. I live in Chino Hills btw too. Was in the laundry room at the time. Funny thing is, my Mom said a couple days earlier that she wanted to get an earthquake preparedness kit. I told we weren't getting any earthquakes soon.

We do need more earthquakes, it was pretty interesting. We have two cats, and one of them was acting weird. My mom said, while the cat was acting weird, that there was going to be an earthquake. ANd what do you knwo it? There was! lol. How long did it last in Chino?

oh oh! i felt it!! it was kewl!

it was actually my "first" earthquake [that i remember], the other one i was like, two, soi don't remeber it.

There was another one in Southern Cali years ago. That was the first huge earthquake of mine. It was about the same size as today's. Anyone remember that one? It was near a city who's name started with an 'N' I believe.

i didnt feel a thing and was right after i woke up! It seemed less shaky here in SD or it was just me

I've only experienced 1 earthquake. I was like 9 and I was sitting on the floor and the room shook one good time

I can't imagine the shit that would knock TV's over and stuff. Ay, I'd be pissed about that.

so I saw it on the news at the car lube joint, and they said that they get them all the time, but this one was in a populated area.

So like 50 years from now, is California going to break apart and sink or something? I heard myths about stuff like that.

The news was covering this thing for way too long methinks.

Your thinking of the Northridge earthquake back in 94. I remember that earthquake distinctly, i was only 6 but i can tell you all that happened.
