Im very interested in trying out EVE Online, but seems like there are no Trail versions available. Does anyone here play EVE ?

I remember running two copies of the game and downloading something at the same time.

It's extremely resource effecient, especially considering how good it looks. Also, if you have a bunch of friends to play it with (I played the trial with about 5-6 friends) it can be quite a bit of fun. Otherwise, it can be a real drag. Especially if you mine all the time.

I tryed this out a while ago, but I can't seem to remember if I liked it or not. I might give this a go

I'm downloading the client right now, will let you know how to turns out.

I loved the trial, but once I heard that they had over 2 week+ to train one level in a skill, I left and never came back.

It was the most awesome space game for me, though. :)

Autopilot FTW! :D

there is a trial, but once i got into it, it was fun, but I was completely lost as to what i was supposed to do ;_;

Me too to the person above me.. i got a TON of donations from fellow EVE players who were Economically Stable or whatever.

I had a ton of money, so I bought the top of the line frigate, and then did a bunch of missions and started to save up my money, but it was all just so massively boring with the skill level ups, that I just stopped. :(

Supposedly Missions are really fun to do (For me anyway, they were challenging against 5+ enemy ships) and I wish I pvp'ed somewhat, because that would've been so much fun. :)

I played the trial of this aswell, its pretty cool although I did get resources and ships from mates who have played the game alot more than I did. kinda got bored of the game and stopped playing it. Shame because it is pretty good.

I liked it when I tried the trial like a year ago. The graphics do their job well and the GUI is pretty cool. There's also a cool market thinger where you can auction/buy stuff, but you don't have to be at a sepcific place like WoW.

I didn't get far. I was just going back and forth mining asteroids, which got pretty boring going back and forth.

When you're playing it, it feels like a quality game if you get what I mean. Some MMORPG's just feel weak and lame as if they were programmed by penguins.

To be honest, it sucked.

Waste of an hour downloading from their shitty hosts.

:(

the learning curve is extreme. when I got my all my wisdom teeth out, I played it for a week straight.....on the trial. then quit. fun while it lasted

Too bad Earth and Beyond was canceled, though it wasnt that great. It's better than Eve. Its just fun flying around discovering places.

I loved eve, played it for about 2 months, but it did get boring...

Earth and Beyond? never heard of it, im checking it out now and it looks pretty cool! shame it was cancelled :(

EnB was fun for a bit but the devs were constantly being rushed/numbers cut till it finally died, the community was great (especially the storyline forums which discovered some amazing things about the story)

Just downloaded the trial today on the advice of a friend who bought the game last week and hasn't actually communicated with the outside world since apart from to tell me to download the trial. I just spent about two hours working through an extraordinarily long and dull tutorial, but I am determined to like it. So far the only MMO I have genuinely enjoyed has been Planetside.

I downloaded it again from that link on the first page, it kicks ass. This isn't the same version that I played, this is some Cold War update.

I skipped the tutorial, very boring after the first 20 seconds.
