Nooo, the police round here are speed nazis. Idiotic to do those speeds on the A38. On the major roads I stick to 95 and keep my eyes open...there are plenty enough deserted roads in Devon to go as fast as you like, no need to risk it on the dual carriageways etc.

btw, when are the devon road wars on tv? they still all seem to be the london ones on sky 1...

so far i have been stoped and searched 4 times in the last 2 years.

Last time was in Harrow Shopping centre few weeks ago with my friends. over 8 POs stoped us from all directions..... on the ground on the ground on the ground. We thought "oh shit we are ****ed", reason My friend had a knife under his left foot and my other friend got a gun (real ****ing gun) in his car.

Lucky us, it was stop and search operation.
We played it cool, and everything went OK......

Hey, I grew up in Harrow. Sounds like I chose a good time to get out.

I got arrested in town once for tackling a shoplifter on the street whilst he was being chased by security and one policeman.

I saw him running my way and saw the security running behind him shouting for people to move out the way, for him to stop and get down etc.

I dont know why I did it. I stepped to his left, and as he got within about 5 metres I dropped my bags, dropped my right shoulder and slammed into the left side of him, picked him up and dumped him, with me crashing down on him. Got quite a nice gash down the right side of my arm, and some scraped knuckles.

The cop dragged me off him, somehow hauled me to my feet (im pretty heavy these days) and pushed me face first against a wall. He handcuffed me and pinned me, yapping into his radio.

A crowd grew around us and people were shouting for me to be let go as they'd seen what I had done.

I was basically arrested for like 5 minutes on, and I quote, 'suspicion of being involved', when I really just stopped him and helped security.

The cop was extremely apologetic to me, and I recieved no record. Just a load of pats on the back and hand shakes. It felt good.

A week ago a cop caught me smoking a joint outside my building, and told me to "just go somewhere else if I do that." Decriminalization? Hell yes :farmer:

Anyway, I've never actually been arrested. Lord knows I've been close, though.

i was shot and killed after robbing a bank. I left the bank and saw about 6 cruisers outside so I ran inside and went out the back. I sprinted into the woods and was actually getting away until the woods basically ended and the squad cars surrounded me. I pulled out my 9 but I got hit 67 times.
