EVERYTHING is unlocked

I just played on my regular servers and noticed everything was unlocked..

I tested this on 3 different servers - everything unlocked.

I then clicked on BFHQ and everything is unlocked.

I have about 3,000 more points till corporal.. WTF is going on?
 
How? What exactly did you do before it all became unlocked?
 
What... the hell? Any more information? This is intriguing!
 
Everything is unlocked for me too. I think the stats servers gone crazy!
 
I would rather earn mine. Stupid EA / gamespy, what are they playing at
 
Well you'll be earning them for quite a while... It takes ages to rank up!
 
This is so wired, sincei n tha last updates they fixed that you couldn't unlock your weapons in sp, with that trick where you rename every 0 in to 1, you can see that on totalbf2 forums to, that it just stopped working for folks.
 
Well I have weps unlocked too...

I'm getting close to Corporal and I can't decide what wep to unlock. I really like the G3, not too crazy about Spec Ops unlock, but I do like the sniper as well as the PKM. I know I can get great points with the ammo bags...but I still don't know what to get when I get another 2,000 points :(
 
Yeah, I wondered why I got the "unlocked lock" symbol on all my weapons. And I've got 20 points till private first class, so that's really strange. I guess they'll reverse this.

I know. I will be BEYOND pissed if they reset my stats or something. I worked my ass off to get the awards and points I have.
 
They hopefully won't rest the accounts (that would suck sooooo much.) Maybe they could just reset all the weapon unlocks, so you simply have to re-unlock the weapons. Hopefully.
 
I've experienced this too today and it sucks. I wanted to earn those weapons. And I really hope my account doesn't get reset or anything ....
 
I have evrything unlocked, but I just got 415 points, I got the game recently so its very strange...
 
I got them all unlocked too, I'm not gonna complain though, I've already gotten to use most of them from picking them up from other people's kits (haven't tried the jackhammer yet though).
 
Guys settle down, this has happened before, nothing happens to you.
 
BUt does anyone know how to unlock em for sp, the old method doesn't work.
 
This happened to my old account i dont use anymore, i just checked when people where saying this was happening and all my weapons are unlocked...
 
46,000,000? holy crap! how many people have purchased this game?
 
I just checked, all my weapons are unlocked!!

I am (also) teh win!! :D
 
To all those saying they wanted to earn their weapon unlocks, do you have any idea how long you'd have to be playing BF2 just to unlock your second weapon?

I'm now a corporal. According to BF2S.com (offline now I think or terribly sluggish) I have to play for a little over three days straight to promote to Lance Corporal and earn my new unlock. And since I have the whole week off ..... :sniper:

EDIT BF2S.com is online; there isn't any layout tho. Anyway, I'd have to play 3 days 14 hours 36 minutes and 46 seconds straight to promote to the next rank.
 
Well, there's a bit of a story...
I was just playing to get promoted. I only had 46 more points to go. I would be able to do it in one round. So, I did. I got the message onthe screen saying I am now a Lance Corporal. I was really happy. I was going to get my first weapon unlock, and everything. I also got the bronze star that round. It was a great round. I log out of BF2. Wait 15-20 minutes, and then log back in. My account was now updated to within 7 points of Lance Corporal, and I didn't get my bronze star. I am pretty pissed.
 
yea, poor baby, i had my computer running 512 or ram for a while, when i got the game a friend lent me a stick of his old 512, since hes running ddr2 now. So 2 diffrent types of latency's caused my computer to lock up everynow and then. So i play BF2 and i got to 954, took me a week to get to 1000. Because i didnt want to play--get 2 kills, and exit, then spend another 4 minutes joining a new game. I also don't play the game a whole lot, every now and then, especially now that i know i need 13quintillion hours of play time to get my next unlock. I went from 2131 with the sniper kit to bit over 3000 now :(

btw, i got a dual channel memory kit now, so the problems been resolved.
 
\o/ I got my 7 points. First weapon unlock was a L-85.
 
they are thinking of rolling back everyones stats back to before it got owned. You would be back a few hunderd points but you will only have your origional unlocks.This is silly... stupid EA
