I might animate it in flash later on, making it hop around the screen having it's ears twich and its tail wiggle.. but first need to finish other stuff

just set it as a wallpaper and set your bg colour white
it supports all resolutions

IMO it would look bad centered... and there's no way in hell I'd tile that.
If I wanted to use it I'd make a plain/basic white bg and have it offset, in a corner maybe.
