Exercise Question...

Okay, so here's the deal. I'm quite fit (I walk everywhere, skateboard constantly, do plenty of physical chores, etc) but what little flab I have on me seems to go straight to... my chest. No idea why (although my guess is it's genetic). It's not bad- I don't have man-tits or anything- but I'd still like to tone my pecs better. Does anyone have any tips/exercises for me? (that means you, Short Recoil/Terminator).
 
Unfortunately there is no exercise that can really tone those areas, to reduce man boob size one must lose body fat all over the body. Perhaps abdominal exercises such as sit ups might have a little effect. Going completely against what I just wrote:

Lie down on your back, Get two weights, hold them in your hands put your arms on the floor perpendicular to your body. Then lift them up, so they curve and meet somewhere above your chest, then go down again until you elbows hit the flow then back again. You should be able to feel the tension on your chest. Unless you want to make it very muscle and bigger, do 2 sets of 17 reps on a low/medium weight.
 
Well you can't spot reduce if that's what you are after, the cannot take away fat from a certain part of your body by exercising it.

People do loads of sit ups to "lose their belly", the reason they find it so hard is because all they are doing is working their abs (well sit ups are shit for abs anyway) to get abs to show they have to go on a calorie defecit and thus lose fat all over.

If you want to get your pecs looking trim you want to rip up a bit, working the chest muscles will add tone but wont remove any fat.
Good chest exercises are the good old bench press, dumbell press and pectoral flys.

The only other thing it could be is gyno, minor female breast development which could be corrected by blocking DHT conversion using saw palmetto, raw brocolli, oat straw or such things (or 6-OXO or tamoxifen if you want to do it the unatural way)

So...how do you get rid of a flabby belly?

I can easily do 50 sit-ups without really feeling a lot. (After a month anyway)
 
Sit ups build up the ab muscles (but not as well as some other exercises) but they don't burn the layer of fat. In most people, the flabby belly is the first place where excess fat accumulates in the body, and the last place to get rid of it. So you've got to burn all that other fat, e.g. tits, thighs, before you can burn your belly fat.
You'd better run or something, and stop eating so many things.
 
So...what about building up abs then?
 
You might already have built up your abs, but noone would know since they're under a layer of fat.
 
No matter what area the little fat that you have seems to be concentrating in, the only way to lose it is to lose the fat all over.
 
If you want to change the way your chest looks... try to do more intense chest exercises. You won't lose weight in the area, but you'll increase muscle which will make the area more aesthetically pleasing.
 
The easiest way is to eat alot less and alot healthier and cardio alot. Bodyfat will go down and you're muscle will be exposed to teh chicks.
 
If you want to lose fat, eat plenty of fat, plenty of protein and very little carbs, the cals you get from carbs will be the mass amount of vegetables you are eating, which should be raw........carrots, brocolli, betroot, parsnip, greens. etc.

Do lots of working out and drink a reasonable amount of filtered water, get plenty of sleep and you'll do fine.

Trust me, i'm ripped now.
 
Vibrate your man-titties rapidly using your hands for an hour every day for a whole year.

Then you'll be lactating more than a prize cow. :thumbs:
 
there are machines at the gym that excersize your pecks, and things you can do with free weights.
