Col. Hunt says: IRA or Al Qaeda

Way too violent for IRA.

They even used to call in bombs to make sure people were out of the area when the thing went off.

I'm sorry to say, but this type of coordinated violence is probably Islamic extremists.

They're just prepared is all.

I'm sure after 9/11/ London underwent some major training exercises for exactly this type of situation.

Yeah they did a lot of stuff in the streets of London sometime ago, can't remember when but it seems like quite a while ago.

Lot's of procedures and "test runs" were performed.

Yeah, the pictures on CNN are actually kinda reassuring, the police/emergency crews really seem to have things well in hand.

IRA, or whoever it is, could have trained to become better, just for this?

They had the will, they found the way

It's not a question about being better trained. It's the way they operate.

Obviously. Couldn't have been any other group.

That's a bit of a sweeping statement, it could have been another group, but the chances of it being Al-Quaeda related are higher than any other terrorist group due to the timing of the events

i am in rage now

Well, CNN has got Christiane Amanpour on the street now.

Apparently they're dividing the city into sections, and have different levels of security for each. Damn, they're seriously handling this well.

The financial district is basically on lockdown. There are American troops standing guard outside the US embassy.

Oh shit, sorry, it was on BBC news. Made me feel so bizarre seeing it being done for real

If you end up being a victim in a terrorist bombing of buses/train terminals, pray you're either in Britain or Israel. Both (sadly) have ultimate experience in dealing with this and are best at it. British EMT's are doing superb.

Well I'm going to sleep now. Hopefully things aren't a lot worse when I wake up.

Its so scary how its so close to home, well for people who live in the UK. This is a terrible incident, and I'm sure that everyone is with me in saying that our thoughts are going out to all the families of people involved.
