F.E.A.R beta has now gone public.

Have you guys ever tried to mix in a little melee in your kills? It is a lot more satisfying flying across the air and kicking someone in the face. Try getting into a melee fight with another person, it is fun fighting with someone constantly trying to slide at you or fly over you. I rather like multiplayer.

I've never even played it yet lol. Of course I'll give fear a chance :). After seeing some of the fire on a Pc:G screenshot.. I just new I would have give it a chance.

The post wasn't directed entirely towards you. It just seems that most of the people seem to have gotten the idea in their head that the single player will suck because of a less than amazing multiplayer. Who knows, it might, but Monolith has a pretty good track record with single player FPS games.

The game is great. Cant wait to play it on a high end pc.

Alright, I played with my settings a bit more, and have found a good balance between performance and visual awesomeness, and I am very pleased. Team SlowMo Deathmatch is a great gamemode, and if you have a good team, you will find yourself moving around in squadlike fashion, which works extremely well.

I can't get over how cool it looks when bullets and grenades hit people, or hell, even a wall. Don't know how they did it, but this game is intense.

So far my only beef with the game is how players can abuse the melee kick attack. While fun to use, you don't know how annoying it is for a player to solely use this, especially in a map like Construction, where everything is close quarters all the time. I was first on my team on this map for a while, then this guy Severon joins, and within seconds he has an evenly matched score, just from melee attacks. I don't know if it was lag or what, but in some cases, he wasn't even close to use when he kicked. Can't imagine there are hacks for a demo, but it seemed really weird.

i haven't really been using the pc much in the past few days so im counting on u people to fill me in on how the game plays.

as the above poster, i too would like to know what specs are needed and what specs are reccommended.
been pumped about this game for a while...hopefully this beta is pleasing most.
