F.E.A.R. MP Demo

If this release isn't that much different from the BETA, it is shite. Can somebody tell me otherwise?

It's pretty much the same. There's CTF mode now but I find it quite fun. I'm glad it's running a lot better than the beta did and there's actually players on now :p

I like it more than any other MP DM game I have right now (CS:S, DOD:S, HL2DM). The Melee is great and CTF is always fun...throw in slowmo and I'm in :)

EDIT: Sigh...Friday night work sucks...I want to go out :(

Graphics aside, it's rather uninspiring. And though toggle-able, the HUD is THE most intrusive I've EVER seen. (Or is this some trend I've been missing from playing too many HL1 and HL2 mods).

Also the G2A2 Automatic Rifle is waaay to overpowered.

I played the mp and i think with the fear engine it adds something new to dm. Its fun to play here and there or with a friend. But im looking forward to sp the most.

Can anyone tell me how the slo-mo works in DM? I've been in Paris since Tuesday, just came back and haven't downloaded it yet. If everyone goes slower isn't it a bit frustrating when ppl trigger slo-mo for everyone all the time?

Welcome back. :)

Too get the slow-mo working, you got to find a gadget laying somewhere on the map. It's easy to find because it has a marker so you can see where it lays. But once you pick it up, you the player, gets marked so all the other players can see where you are plus there is some kind of blue glow-effect surrounding you so an enemy can easily spot you.

To activate the slow-mo, you need it to recharge to 100% (sometimes you can activate it at like 90%) and then you can use it.

Nah, I don't find it so much frustrating but it can get a little tedious if some player activates it and you are in the middle of nowhere with no other players around. But anyways it's quite okay imo. :)

Yeah, the slowmo is fine. The person that actually has the slowmo can move and fire faster than everybody else affected by the slowmo so there's that obvious advantage. It only lasts for about 5+ seconds and then it's gotta charge again so it's not like EVERY fight the user is throwing it on. It takes like 45 seconds - 1 min to charge I'd say.
