Hehe, just got off an 8 player slowmo DM server. I completely dominated. Then 5 minutes before the end of the match my pizza finished. I said, "I'm gonna eat pizza, see if you can catch up" Nobody came close

The difference between the 6800's and X800's isn't that great. Neither card will have large advantage over the other.

Honestly it isnt that great.

I found it no fun at all -besides its great wall defomation and awesome lighting its just another generic shooter. With a little booted bullet-time mode.

I guess Im too used to being able to launch objects at enemies.

Theres nothing more satisfying than going slow-mo and blasting someone into a cloud of blood and watch gibs go flying after you rock them with a battle cannon shot to the chest, then switching to a shotgun and wheeling around to blast a man jump kicking in the air at you to watch him go flying back against a wall without a head. Then another enemy comes and finishes you off with a few well-placed nailgun rounds that nail you against a nearby wall. You hang there, stuck against that wall as slowmo wears off and the debris and dust settles down...then you click to spawn and start it over again :thumbs:

exactly.....theres just something very satisfying about getting a kill in this game....specially by doing the sliding tackle

amd 64 bit 2800+ with a 6800 ultra got 41 min and 110 avg on max setttings (soft shadows + 4aa ).
amd 64 bit 2800+ wit han x800 xt pe got 17 min and 56 avg (on high! no soft shadows, no AA)

That is a huge difference right there even ignoring soft shadows and 4AA! Whether it's because it's a nVidia sponsored game, or they haven't optimised for ATI is unknown but FEAR runs ace on nVidia. I hope they fix performance up.

Well the game certainly doesn't look as nifty as those official screenshots displayed it to be. I hope the gameplay surpasses the graphics department.

Yea, everything's on minimum or off except the particle effects. It's in 800x600 as well.

I'm playing everything maxed except softshadows and AA, lowest res tho, and it runs smoothly on my comp.
I know another guy who's in the beta tho, he got double 6800Ultras a 3.9Ghz processor(OCed) and 3 Gigs of RAM(He works with 3D modeling etc), he can run everything-everything maxed, including highest res, and play it smoothly... Bastard!

Yeah I cant get a key even though today is Saturday the day that the new round of keys are supposed to be given. Bastards at fileplanet get off their lazy asses and update with new keys.
