Fallout 3 DLC announced

Broken Steel. Join the ranks of the Brotherhood of Steel and rid the Capital Wasteland of the Enclave remnants once and for all. Continues the adventure past the main quest. Scheduled for release in March.

Thank Christ for that, I was never fond of the ending which never continued

Out of curiosity, how many houses are there in the game?
I know you have one in megaton, but is tenpenny the only other one?

You can only have one.

Bethesda, Fallout 3 sucks.

Mikael is the one behind the item descriptions mod! D:

And colours and pretty fonts and big fonts. That would just about do it.

Walk north, I think. North-east maybe. Right at the top of the map.

Watch out for the frustratingly quiet beasties, though. Man those things made me jump, but I can't remember their names.

Deathclaws?

First time I saw one I nearly shat myself.

I think I reached it but it seems to be in the top of a mountaintop I dont know how to reach

There's and entrance to oasis around the mountain to the west, its kinda small so you hafta look carefully.

Naw, not a Deathclaw. One of the hound like creatures, a Yao Quin or something like that. That's probably spelt horribly wrong but whatever - mothers be quiet, yo.

They're horribly mutated bears apparently. Um, I think it's Yao Gui - it means 'angry spirit' or something in Chinese, iirc.

Do you have to use the Vats system in the game?

It'll be a fuckton harder to say the least. You don't have to use it.

The combat is horrible without VATs, so I recommend using it.

(Not that it's much better in VATs either.)

Doesn't doing a slow mo sequence for every kill get boring?

I don't think the combat is all that smooth actually, I mean not in comparison to any other shooter. Just too jerky. I mean I'm probably 5x better at aiming in almost any other shooter than this.

The thing with VATS is that you use it first, and whilst your AP recharges you shoot in First Person, because that doesn't use AP... so VATS is like an exhaustible bullet time mode like you get in Max Payne or F.E.A.R. You can't really survive without either mode, since the FPS action is tedious and the hit-boxes aren't as over generous, or the guns as accurate as in proper FPS games.

I agree. It looked tedious on videos, but actually using it myself was really satisfying every time.

But that's just it, you're only seeing it, you're not doing it. Where is the skill / fun / challenge / point in clicking a mouse button and watching your PC do it for you?

Talk for yourself, it's fun.
