Whats your favourite season and why?

Mine's autumn, its all "getting cold" and everythings changing, and everything looks cool, even the way the sky ends up grey and windy.. but it beats winter, because its basically a shorter version of it, and it avoids many of the problems that set in during winter, such as broken heaters :p

Also, in australia, the weather tends to be its strongest in spring and autumn and it kinda rests in summer and winter, and I like giant storms, so another point for autumn! :D
 
Spring.

Alabama looks the most beautiful during spring. (even tho it still looks beautiful through all seasons)

Hence the nickname "Alabama the beautiful".
 
ooh winter, definately, i love the cold, and curling up in a duvet or infront of a roaring fire. love the snow, the rain, the wind when its not too windy.

Oh and not many spiders in winter which is good. And of course can't beat Christmas! :D:D:Ds

ohh yeah i forgot that stuff..

I like the cold better than the heat, its easier to get warm than it is to cool down I say.. especially when sleeping, cold is better :thumbs:

hehe thats what I always say too. you can be as hot or cold as you like in winter, in summer your just screwed. The winter mornings are always nice too, everything really still. Though the cooler summer mornings are ok, just get ruined when the heat goes up too much :)
 
Cold is better when sleeping yes...

But summer is clearly the pwnage season. :thumbs:

Definately agree with you there. I love winter. Its the best time of year for hiking, all the snow on everything has its own unique beauty that no other season can equal in my mind. Skiing, snowboarding, snowball fights, sledding, hot apple cider, roaring fires, that feeling of comfort when you are inside nice and toasty when a howling blizzard is happening outside.

When out in the wilderness too everything is so quiet, I love the dead calm and quiet that winter brings, its so much more soothing to me that the busy not-so peaceful time that is every other season.

The wilderness is amazing when its winter, everything is completely silent and it looks like some kind of sculpture, can't beat it.
 
Bah...I rather have it when things are moving.

Like when it's spring here I would walk in the woods and just listen to the leaves in the trees being moved by the wind and you could feel the nice breeze hit you....or sometimes I would sit on our front porch and just watch nature at it's best.I would watch the clouds slowly move in the beautiful blue sky and try figure out what some of them match like a bear or dog.

It was like heaven...Man you guys gotta come to alabama sometime. :D

The beach is the main thing I miss in winter, but I hear that in the UK, they arent worth missing :p
 
I live 2 mins from the beach... partly why I love summer. :)

A nice beach at that.

UK and beaches.. hehehe, yeah the UK doesn't have very good beaches really, nothing like what your used to down under, ours are mostly well, their just a bit meh :)
 
summer!!!!

cos its warm and lush and i go to the royal crescent with all ym mates play footbal chuck a frisbee around all day :)
 
early spring, winter, and fall, because I can wear my leather jacket and look all kickass.

I don't really have a favourite season all year round. Right now my favourite season would probably be Spring. I enjoy all weather really, that why I like living here and not somewhere like California where is basically summer all year round.

our beaches suck.. Honestly, I used to think some weren't bad until I started traveling and saw what real beaches looked like. Never went to one of ours again hehe.

They're just a bit covered in stones with hardly any sand.

dude! those aren't stones, their fossilised ... well yeah hehe.

I faintly remember there being a huuuge really nice looking beach in northumbria, sanddunes and the like and stretched a long way when the tide was out. Probably the closest I've seen to a proper beach in the UK.

Autumn, thats when the Thunderstorms start to close in, plus you got halloween to look forward too.
 
Definatly autumn, perfect working weather....not too hot, not too cold. Unfortunatly Autumn only lasts about 2 weeks here then its off to 9 months of winter :frown:
 
Spring\Summer..i hate Winter..well its nice sometimes but after a while its just anoying..
 
I'm surprised so few like winter, you guys just don't see the beauty of it all. Ya can't throw snowballs at people in summer you know :p

Besides, the chav's don't venture out much in the winter :E

Some of us dont get snow.

I'm for the spring. The trees bloom, I grow a vegetable garden, everything flourishes. Spring is life.

We don't get anywhere near as much snow as we used to, and its really a shame, I used to love waking up on a morning and seeing all the snow out there, or listening to it at night and hearing it sliding off the roofs on the street clear as anything cause it was all so quiet. Or seeing the foxes and owls in the fields behind the house against the snow. Get none of that in summer, just horrible horrible heat and damaged hardware that all winter is then spent fixing *cries*
 
Summer for sure.

Winter: Cold and shit. Most often not enough snow to go skiing, and were I live there are no hills/mountains either.
Spring: A bit nicer, it's getting warmer, but still cold.
Summer: :D
Autumn: Getting colder. Mice and spiders :(
 
Summer, I freakin' hate the winter. Everyone's depressed, it's cold, it sucks. I used to like winter for the snow, but now I'm older and it barely snows in the first place.
 
I like real winters, with snow on the ground etc, but since they're so rare over here, I'm gonna have to go with spring :)
 
Winter.. not a fan of the cold mornings but I much prefer the cold any other time. And Winter means snow! Sometimes.. :-P I love how beautiful everything is after a snowfall
 
I love the winter because in the summer when its too hot, i cant sleep or anything and i dont like being sweaty and smelly.
The winter is very cool, i love the sky.
 
Autumn/Winter. Several reasons why really, the sun gives me a splitting headache, so i love it when august draws to a close and septembers rolls in.

The dark knights, the possibility of snow and so on. I just love it, especially sitting inside and seeing it's freezing cold outside, just makes me feel all fuzzy :D

Hey, California isn't just summer all-year round! There's...hot summer...and *really* hot summer. Then sometimes some really fat guy jumps into the ocean because water comes from the sky for a couple seconds and cause mudslides.
 
Well, we only really have two seasons in Louisana. Hot and not so hot. I'll have to go with Summer, though. Nothing like a warm summer night. Aaaagh! Mosquitos!
 
Spring -- cuz that's when the ladies bring finally the puppies out of their hiding places!
 
Id say spring because its not too cold not too hot but well autumn is better because generally there are no pressures from work around that time and there are so many trees where I live and there is ivy and something with huge leaves on my shed and wall and seeing them turn from green to golden is rather nice.
Winter is teh suck: Cold weather=bad, usually you have some sort of illness, lots of work to finish around this time of year etc..., christmas doesn't really make up for it.
Summer is good but the heat drains the energy out of me and the holidays drag on a bit + Exams :(.
