So what sticks out most, as the most favorite memory, or thing, about your childhood? It could be anything from your favorite cartoon, to your favorite toy...

Mine are, the ninja turtles cartoons, playing contra and robocop in the arcade, swimming at a place called diamond lake and sliding down the huge waterslide, the movie theatre my dad used to manage, and my alien toys! (from the movie)

When i pissed my pants while watching the vaccume cleaner

Thunderbirds :D

So I'm definately will watch Team America in the cinema :)

The time I found out Santa drinks beer.

Santa drinks beer...

jumping out of my treehouse with an umbrella because i expected to float to the ground. woe betide mary poppins, woe betide her.

Playing in the snow when the UK got REAL snow, not that sissy kind that can't get deeper than a few centimeters these days, was back when it could block the doors and stop you from getting to school even when the school was only 1 minutes walk at the top of the road ha loved it :). Going fishing on the river near the place we'd go in the summers. Oh and Christmas ofcourse! and loving it every year.

Rockjumping down at spichwick, Dartmoor. Some of those jumps were 40ft high. *sighs*

When my parents bought me a new computer about 4 yrs ago.

Pretending to be asleep, till everyone else was asleep, getting out of bed, turning on the playstation and playing Test Drive Offroad Fury 2 for hours! :E
I gots many memories, but that one came to mind first...

aahh so many memories. Wait, I think of any really, I'm only 19 and can't remember most of my childhood, that were good at least. The only thing I remember was when I was about 4 or 5 and setting a trap to catch santa with my brothers. Needles to say it didn't work as I'm sure you've all gotten you what you wanted for christmas since then. ah christmas' were great as kid.

lol! you just described my dad to a tee :p I am beginning to sound an awful lot like him too, we've got the same laugh and both sound the same when we shout, which is cool cause he can scare the crap out of anyone when he does yay! :D But I promise not to say those were the good old days.

But yeah, I dunno if its cause I was so much smaller back then but I swear we used to have snowdrifts and could get lost in it if you fell backwards into fresh snow. I remember the school fields would be covered with inches of snow and we'd build snow forts and have large scale snowball fights (paintball? bah! this was real fun haha) ooh and the area's of the playground that would be iced over, and you'd _always_ have the same group of kids showing off by skating over it trying to impress the girls who'd huddle up in a corner and talk about Bros and play with those diamond shaped paper things they'd make in class. Haha those were the days. There would always be one kid too, in a dufflecoat two sizes too big, with bright red mittens tied to the ends, a bright red and white bobble hat, blue boots, and he'd always be the one who got the snow pushed down the back of his neck lol.. Jesus I can't believe I remember this now, my god that was so long ago.... you know what though?

Those really were the good old days ;)

Ah think yuh'll faaahnd it's pronounced T'good ol' deeeys.
Sorry, I just love Yorkshire accents :)

You're right about school though - in mine we had a roof "garden" and there was a toilet next to it that was "haunted". Well OF COURSE it was - Monique's bigger sister's friend said she saw it once and she's TEN so she must be telling the truth!
Apparently some girl got locked in their and died. Scary sh*t when you're six.

And wet play - aaah wet play. It's raining outside, so we stay in with like Connect Four or whatever - we had a league going that I proudly topped for a while. Oh yes.

lol the haunted toilet stalls!!! haha, every school must have one! It's amazing the shit you believe when your a little kid haha, something to be said about being so niave though, it was tons of fun, anything was possible.. Then you grow up and realise life sucks :E

We rarely got to stay in classes when it rained, it would have to be a huge storm or they'd still kick us out into the playground and everyone would huddle under the buildings, except one mate, who would always be too slow and get pushed to the end where it was dripping, but he'd stand there and pretend it didn't bother him (often wasn't at school the next day because of headaches hehe) oh oh oh and you'd always have the same guys who would be skating around on the ice, that would try play football in the pouring rain, ending up just looking stupid and wet. And when it was back to class you'd see down the path the one guy. The one guy who was always late, never did what he was told, and you just knew he'd end up murdering someone 10 years later (which in our case this guy did.. twice lol)

I'm remembering loads of useless crap now :p

Riding around the small towns in Iowa with my cousin about a year ago before he went off to the Navy, it was fun stuff, going about 100mph on country roads blasting Zeppelin.

When I build a DUPLO tower that was taller than myself. That's my first memory ever. I was around 2½

Playtimes in Reception :x

There was a girl who always wet herself... I remember one time, everyone and I mean everyone was stuffed into the little wooden climbing house thing they used to have. Must have been about 35 4 year olds in a space 2 metres cubed. Anyway, the urination girl was right on top and she....she just let herself go.
I don't think any of us were really the same after that.

Duplo and Lego are so awesome!
When I was a kid I built this awesome spaceship (which I may still have actually!) and even wrote a story about it :)
I was obsessed with dinosaurs as well, so I've got loads of toys :) I had it all mapped out:
I was going to work really hard and go to Cambridge to study Paleontology. :)

Breaking up for Christmas break from primary school in year 3 and year 4, those were the days when i didn't have any worries about money or jobs, etc.

Lego :D I keep getting that out every so often and playing with it.

School really was a fun time... I did appreciate being there as well :D Until about year 10, then it just started getting annoying even with all the fun I was having.

I don't think it's physically possible not to like lego. I think I've still got all mine in the loft, 3 full boxes of the stuff. Can't remember the last time I played with it.

I loved Lego, i loved building spaceships and i had the Lego airport, the big pirate ship, the island fortress and i had the Admiral's ship as well :). Unfortunately, we couldn't afford the technic :(.

I used to have loads of lego, but my sister took most of it for my nephew a few years ago :( I'm too old for it now apparently, bah!

I must say, I cannot at all remember any childhood memories. My mind is clearly blank.

Tsktsk.

You were aiming for the top! ;)

I dreamed about being an astronomer. I still have about 30 books about the space :D

I read about 100 books during the summer of 1996. I went to the library everyday and then BAM! no more books left about astronomy that I didn't read yet.

:(

Ah I rememeber Primary school, it was great :p what a crazy imagination I had then... There was some plasticine stuck in this little hole in the tree and I seemed to think it was a button that I had to press every day because it was magical or something :D. There was this corner that was not special at all but for some reason I thought it was a super computer... There was a small selection of really short and dense trees that we went into and it was a "time machine" so I went it and then ran into the grassy area and span around and around until I "went back in time" :p. Amongst other things ....... I could go on and on. I loved those days

We once tried digging to Australia...we got about half a foot down, and then found "artifacts"! One of them was some old piece of ceramic guttering, and the rest as usually just pots and stuff. Not that old though really.

The art teacher used to ask us to go out into the playground and find all the old rusty nails we could

Knightmare. :D Ahh theres too much to mention, first getting a SNES, living in Germany with real snow, childhood innocence, not a care in the world. *sigh* Good old days indeed.

Oh yeah, NO CHAVS!

Pff chavs have always been around, they just didn't have their uniform or their organisation
