What WW2 weapon is your favorite. And I mean infantry weapons, not atomic bomb, or famine or whatever.

Not a fan of guns at all really, but from games i always enjoy WW2 sniping, so if i remember correctly they used the Springfield or something like that, which was pretty enjoyable.

^Agreed^ Also, flamethrowers were cool.. and the Sten

The sten was always a beautiful gun to use in RTCW: Enemy Territory. Using to pop out bullets with great accuracy, but the shape, with the magazine (or whatever you call it) sticking out to the side was adorable. Oh and all black made it a classy lass. *downloads DOD source content for free weekend*

M1 Garand, "The rifle that won the war."

Or something...I forget the exact quote.

Can't get much cooler, such a sexy gun:
Walther

I love all the bolt-action rifles, the MP43 was amazing to.

No, thats the exact quote.

Tension rising :O. It reminds me of something like this. : Carbine, Karbinier.
Crazy, Krazy. No, im not disagreeing with you.

PPSh41 FTW! :D

Handheld SMG that sprays 900 RPM, can't beat it really. And it could be mass produced.

..and they didn't jam as often as other weapons either, which is why many of the Stormtroopers in the film Stalingrad use them.

I like the MP40, though. Whenever I can, in COD or Brothers in Arms, etc, I always try to get one as soon as I can.

It's Sturmtrupes I think, I could be wrong, and when you refrence them to Stalingrad, I hope your speaking of the Germans, not the Russians. Not that I think you aren't.

EDIT: Just noticed that you said FILM before Stalingrad, my bad.

Hmm.. I do like the Thompson a whole lot... But I think I'll go with the BAR because it's just awesome :)

Nice thread btw. If I had to choose a favorite WW2 vehicle it would be the SdKfz 232. <3

Browning Automatic Rifle, yea it was like an uber MG that you could "Rambo" with ease.

MG42 ftw. Just the way you have to operate it is so damn hawt.

Also, the Germans often took Russian weapons from fallen Russians because they were designed to survive the harsh climate. The German weapons often jammed because of the cold and the water.

Most german bolt-action weapons were pretty cool. I also liked that British weapon where the magazine was on top of the gun, I forgot it's name though.

isn't it 98k?

Either way is fine. Karabiner 98 is the long rifle. Karabiner 98k is the shorter version. The "k" at the end stands for kurz which means short I believe.

M1 Garand..

I love sniper rifles, but there was no Schimt Scout in WW2

If only Franz and Helmut had one of these instead of those little nazi pistols.
