Favourite half-life2 episode moment.

V-Man's Favorite

I had many favorite moments, but I'll sort them in the order of the game.

I loved the Vortigaunts and the G-Man (seems the vortigaunts are more powerfull than we expected hmm?), but I kind of missed watching the G-Man spy on me and then casually walk away.

I loved D0g through the whole beginning, and the van ride was fun as heck.
I also thought that the entire mood of the citadel was amazing, and the core was cool, but I don't have a shiny graphics card so it wasn't that great.

I thought how Alyx would make the zombie moaning noise was pretty cool too. What I loved even more was how she counter-attacked all their swipes and she stomped on the headcrabs.

I loved how the zombines would pull out grenades and just wack you with it, and when they're swallowed by a barnacle they have the headcrab alone swallowed and the lower jaw is all thats left.

I also loved the kleiner casts. http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Half-Life_2:_Episode_One

I like how when you are lead into that building thats used by the resistance as a little outpost (the one that that guy tells the girl to shut up when she asks him the password), and once your through all those zombies and your near those stairs, there's a crack in the floor.
Valve put in a a resistance woman and man in there and they just say various things like "They might call 'em crabs, but I'll tell you what: they don't taste like crab."

I loved the part with Barney and how he says "Go on across, Gordon! She's waiting for you... you lucky dog, you!"

I enjoyed the whole hospital portion of the game, and in my opinion it was the best part of the entire game.

I enjoyed the final battle and the ending, but I kinda miss G-Man not giving me one of his cryptic speeches as a reward for beating the game... :(

All in all, I think Episode one is my favorite game ever, if a little short.

Thanks. I'm proud to be a member, as you guys beat the heck out of all the other fansites.

Welcome V, Albeit we have had a decline in postings lately.
Anyway, my favorite part was during lowlife when Alyx kept yelling 'POINT THE FLASHLIGHT OVER THERE!' But I was like, 'WHICH WAY IS OVER THERE?'

And then a zombine had been sitting next to me and asploded.

Also Alyx's Zombine joke.
I cracked up when she was all 'eh..'

I loved pretty much the whole thing! Although, prolly one of my favorite moments is when Alyx gets a little emotional in the stalker train saying, "This is what happens to you if you resist...or if you're just in the wrong place at the wrong time." Some people have thought that maybe her mom got turned into one, but that's silly, since it's been said that Azian died in the Black Mesa incident.

Another part I love isn't even really part of the story or anything, and I've only heard it once. In parts where it's pitch black, if you turn and run from Alyx, and if she can't keep up, you can hear her say, "Don't leave me here!" Oh god, just the way she said it made me run back to her and be all like, "Oh god I'm so sorry I won't leave you again omg PROTECT!" ;_;

I just love Alyx. <3

And Barney. He's just sexy.

My favorite parts were Razor Train trip. I was then like "Damn fresh air, outdoor enviroments, safe!" Until it crashed and i found my self at the most annoying park hall ever. But Lowlife was good chapter too due the feeling when you get out to deserted streets.
Second favorite was the Exit 17, i just love it, most ppl hate it. But escorting NPC:s is fun. And combine coming diffirend places. Cool.

The Final was kinda boring. Again Alyx is playing martyr "Ok we will make and decoy and draw combine away from you". If my Gordon could speak im pretty sure he would said: "Alyx, maybe force with you" or "Damn Alyx you are so brave, see ya!" *hops in the train with barney*

My favorite moment was when I turned off the flashlight and ran away from Alyx, she cried. lawl I am a bad boy. D:

Best moment... the sight of the core at the citadel. Simply beautiful. And I loved the whole hospital part, killing zombies, playing with zombines, and watching NPC fight (but it was too short for me, even if "gameplay testers had too much action...":hmph: ).

Aww man...you guys make IT WORSE!!!
I STILL HAVENT GOT EP.1!
Im going crazy!!;(

The testers are probably old people like gabe's dad or something.

They removed the drivable combine APC from HL2 because again the "testers" complained about the speed and all :hmph:

A cool part I noticed in my last playthrough was the banacle corridor in Low Life. I love it when a barnacle snags a zombine. It's also a great example of a scene where you can just hang back and watch the action unfold. I just shone my light down the hallway and let Alyx and my new barnacle firends take care of those nasty zombines while keeping a cinder block on ahnd in case one of the got too close.

You just gotta love the music. Especially in Lowlife. Extract VLVX_song11 with GCFScape and you'll know what I mean when I say that VALVe is t3h sh!t when it comes to enhancing an already superb atmosphere!

I just got it, and haven't played alot yet, but my favorite so far was near the very start (before you get into citadel) where they are deciding if they should ride the car into the citadel, and Alyx is like: "It's ok, Gordon, he's a robot, he did the math!" then she says "You.. did do the math, right, Dog?" then he shakes his head indicating No. Gave me a little chuckle.

Favorite moment? When the stalkers were going whacky and were yelling right in Alyx's face. It was fun looking deep into their insane eyes. Although it wasn't fun spending 20 billion years trying to figure out how to get Alyx free from that metal blob.

Even she isn't perfect though. Sometimes she shoots the barnacles instead, though when I start shooting at the zombies with my pistol, she usually starts aiming for them, which is much wiser.

Try walking in a barnacle tongue, sometimes Alyx says stuff and you're like "Aww, so cute" :O

Favourite part for me personally, was fighting and beating the antlion guard. Then that music comes on, which was really adrenaline pumping for me. Then I ran down into the trench to see those soldier advancing. The music was still blaring, and after killing that guard I was all like "YOU THINK YOU CAN STAND UP TO ME B*TCH?!?!"

Twas fun.

i liked a moment when I had no other weaps but the grav gun, and I got snagged by the barnacle, and alyx continued to fight the zombies, and yes, she just stood there not giving a shit, and I finally died..

Forget about your crowbar?

Since he didn't have any weapon other than the grav gun, I'm assuming that he was in Lowlife. You don't get the crowbar until you meet Barney much later, in Urban Flight.

Anyways, my favorite moment in the game is either the ending, or exploring the wrecked Citadel at the beginning.

Iirc, you do however have the pistol (and maybe shotgun) by that point :| j00 mast shyuut dem

Yeah, you should the Pistol and/or the shotgun by then. The pistol is in the first room where you have to activate the switch box so Alyx can open the door. Adn there is also supplies in that room you have to grab with the Gravity gun.

Well, there's a large tunnel section with zombies before you get to the room with the pistol and shotgun. I don't remember if it had any barnacles though.

Also, he might've been empty at the time. Ammo in Lowlife is kind of scarce.

Well when you're used to smacking barnacles with a crowbar, it's easy to forget you have pistol but no crowbar at the beginning of Episode 1. I came close to making that same mistake myself. I'm nearly certain you don't meet a barnacle before you get the pistol because I strongly doubt that Valve would ever pace a level like that, but fair point about the ammo.

Ah well, he's banned now anyhey.

The testers are probably old people like gabe's dad or something.

They removed the drivable combine APC from HL2 because again the "testers" complained about the speed and all :hmph:

They complained because it was too slow.

I personally liked the ending with the massive explosion and all the pods getting ejected and soaring above my head.

Good times

I liked the repetitiveness of the running back and forward trying to get the rebels to safety.

Id have to agree. That whole first scene was great, the animation blew me away.

I remember that Barnacle corridor... after watching the zombies get eaten and killing the barnacles, I didn't realize that I'd missed one. I walked right into its tongue and got a rude shock, when Alyx shouted "Gordon!" and promptly shot the Barnacle. Whoo, what an experience! :D

My favourite though, was listening to the Kleiner-cast just after leaving Lowlife and staring at the post-apocalyptic skyline with the Citadel in the distance... so eerie.
