Kangy said:Yes, as every topic ever is required to stay exactly on subject, and never deviate slightly from that. Let's face it, you all jumped on him like a pack of angry fanboys, because he wanted the sequel to improve a bit in his eyes.
I believe it was alma. In the comic book with the directors cut you see her standing at the door and some freaky ghostly look on her face, maybe trying to imitate those spirits comming out of her.AmishSlayer said:Also. Were you the one that helped Fettel escape from prison? Remember the very opening sequence you see a figure coming towards the prison door while he's kneeling. At the end you are that figure that comes to get him..but then you blast him in the face so I'm not completely sure about that
actually in the game neither attack you in the physical world at any stage. They both attack you durring "dream sequences", but neither attack you in person. Alma probably couldn't as it is most likely she is not a physical form anymore, but Fettle could have killed us numerous times bigginging with the 1st level when he had us on the ground. Throughout the game he talks to us but he only attacks us in dreams.....so I duno. Its like he wanted to kill us but from another angle he didnt as he obviously could have had he wanted. He did send his clone army after us but *goes in circles and gets confused*.mortiz said:Yes, Alma is the one that "frees" Fettel.
Considering Fettel if your brother and Alma is your mother in the game they sure do their darndest to kill you off.
Good god man, why are you in a spoiler thread! Get the game, you won't regret it, atleast, not at that price. Go for it I says!JellyWorld said:Someone offered to sell me the game second hand, but brand new and unopened for $24, I'm considering it.

*shrug*, we tried to kill them 1st so its only fair.
as I read elsewhere what a defunt family. Alma is your telepathic mum whos dad killed her after doing lab test for several years but she comes back from the dead and kills her dad. Her dads other daughter gets eaten by your psychotic brother and you kill your brother but also kill your mum in your dream.

yeah but both could have killed you easily enough at verious points. Suppose its like the james bond villian wanting to do something elaborate when they coulda killed you in an instant, you escape and then they diemortiz said:Well, since Fettel psychically controls the army of soldiers you're fighting throughout the game it's a good bet that he wants you dead. Also if Alma kills you in the "dream sequences" as you put it you die in the "real" world also, i.e. it's game over. Alma can affect the "real" world to some extent since throughout the game you see her handy work (the stripped skeletons covered with blood).
I dont think its very open at all. Remember it was a story driven horror game that tried to creep you out since you werent sure why and what was happening. Now you know all about alma and the other main characters are dead. There seems like theres no loose ends to tie up.I think that there will be a sequel, regardless of story (which leaves it open).

Which level/part did they show that Alma was dead? I must have missed it first time through.Smigit said:yeah but both could have killed you easily enough at verious points. they dont show it, its mentioned. When they terminated project origin Alma was killed. They mention specifically she was put into a coma and passed away 2 days later or something. They dont say passed away but "there was no signs of life" or something of that nature. Harland says it I believe just before she kills him.nutcrackr said:Which level/part did they show that Alma was dead? I must have missed it first time through.

Anyway I dont believe she was alive, all signs point to her not being. I do wonder why fettle was going to the vault, but I dont think its because she was "alive" there, at least not alive in the sence she was a human of flesh and blood hanging around there somewhere.
If she was dead I don't understand why Harland needed to let her out of the Vault, obviously there is some force that is trapped and going strong inside the Vault.Smigit said:they dont show it, its mentioned. That's the most solid theory yet! Her motives are way too difficult to make sense of, but then again, that's understandable because in horror movies the scares are over once you know the who and the why of the killer/monster/ghost/demon's intentions. Am I right?ríomhaire said:I think that Alma wanted to obliterate Origin first be getting you to kill Fettel and then by killing you.

BTW, it's still a hard pill to swallow to be the son of someone who most frequently manifests herself as an 8-year-old.
