BTW, it's still a hard pill to swallow to be the son of someone who most frequently manifests herself as an 8-year-old.
I await the day when someone says Alma is hawt. :LOL:

He died. :upstare:

Well sort of. Near the end of the warehouse part, he appears in a manner similar to that of Fettel and says "She's near. Can you feel her?" Interestingly, you can see dried blood on his face, streaming from his eyes. So I guess he's dead in the strictest sense. A few things have confused me about him. At the beginning, when you enter the room with the first dead guy, he disappears when you go slow-mo. This is the only point in the game that someone who is undoubtedly in the real world disappears. And if he died, what happend to the body? Only the bodies of the Delta escort were ever recovered, and they track his life signs up until Interval 4 or so, when it disappear's much like Fettel's does throughout the game. Perhaps he has died, but is in a state similar to Alma. I don't know just some random thoughts.

Can there be a sequel? Of course.
Should there be a sequel? I dont' think so. This stands alone fine.
Will there be a sequel? Probably - I'd put money on it in a wager.

I absolutely loved this game. Good music (rare for me), good A.I., scary, good action. The levels were somewhat repetitive, like they were in Halo (but I love Halo too!).

The engine! What is this? Looks OpenGL-based. Good graphics, good A.I., good lighting. Maybe not quite Doom3/Quake4, but quite good nonetheless. Actually, I think I'm giving them better scores because I liked Doom3/Quake4's implementation of the lighting better - I think F.E.A.R.'s engine could do that too. Physics - not the extreme physics found in Half Life 2, but I knocked things around and they felt right. This engine has potential!

Here's a wild and unbased speculative accusation for you all:
Jin = Genevieve!
Possible or impossible? First off, there's the obvious (but pointless) comparison of the names' sounds. Also you only heard Genevieve's sultry voice on those answering machines, and I seem to remember their voices being similar. So is it possilbe she's also part of this task force, keeping notes about your performance, etc., or am I missing something important?

I know it sounds like another "ZOMG GMANIST3HFREEMAN!!1" post, but hey, that's what forums are for. :thumbs:

EDIT: I guess you might consider the end-scene over the mushroom cloud to be something I could be forgetting...if they were the same person she wouldn't be quite so inclined to debrief Namless Government Man about such a success.

Does Fettel say anything to you if you wait to kill him? He was falling over dead before I even realised I'd pulled the trigger.
And does Jankowsiki say that Alma is afraid of you at some stage?

I believe he does. Jankowski is pretty much the only confound left by the end of the game. He becomes an entity similar to Fettel, with the disappearing and reappearing, an apparent connection to Alma. If he is similar to Fettel, and Fettel is alive, wouldn't that mean Jankowski is alive too? Maybe in the same way Alma is alive? Damn you Monolith for leaving speculation!
