You failed to make the connection, but I'll make it for you. I was using the t-shirt argument to make my point, but there are other situations as well. For instance, there's the fact that universities are more likely to give scholarships and grants to minority students, based solely on their ethnicity. That is undeniable racism.

Had a close friend who worked in the Admissions Office at UTEP. Besides, the US Supreme Court stated that race can be considered in admissions and scholarships, but along with other factors as well. But the fact that race is a factor at all is racist.

I have had many black friends and live in a fairly colored area. In my opinion there is indeed a big difference between the typical white person and the typical black person. However this is far from genetic. There is a psychological theory where people learn from what they see. This includes friends and the media. How do you see black people typically portrayed in the media? Just like the negative stereotype you have in your head. People usually try to follow stereotypes they see because they want to fit in. Therefor a "black culture" is created. If you say something stupid like black people talk the way they do because they can't graduate from school then that is an ignorant statement. The reason for this is the creation of the "black culture". I don't see this as much of a problem because another part of these negative steretypes are that black people steal and kill poeple. Not true. A lot of people act tough but hardly anyone(black or white) will actually shoot someone who they don't know unless they are a crazy person.

Understand that I am not racist. It is fine to think that there are differences because there really are, and if you disagree you need to open your eyes to the real world. What makes someone a racist is called discrimination. It isn't thinking things that cause this, it is your actions. That is when it becomes discriminations and when you cross that line you are as ignorant as the person who denies any difference. People need to learn to accept that there are differences and treat everyone the same. If you go to a different country do you become racist towards those people as well or do you understand that there are differences in culture and accept it? It is the same way, just because we all live in the same area does not mean we are all the same.

Second off he cannot conduct a normal debate and I was going to show a great video but I can't find it. Was very late after a concert in a hotel and I was watching CNN. They had him on and he just could not stop talking. Many culture's were despised in America from the early 1900's. People such as the Irish, Asians in general, African-Americans, Italians, etc. All these cultures have mingled in our genetics and it's basically like a giant pot of stew which is America. For some reason you always hear about black people always committing crimes and in jail. How come you don't see Italians as the majority? I just want to reiterate that I have never caught flack from any black person. You have to understand that living in squalor can turn a person into an animal, or maybe just a dick.

We can't just expect "blacks" and other poor people to just start being respectable for no reason. You have to get out of the ghetto before you can change your image and to be honest, only the black people that actually live in the ghetto have this problem, and even then not all of them do.
I don't know if I consider the older neighborhoods of East side Detroit to be ghetto, but there are burned out houses and empty plots of land where houses used to be, and nightly gun shots.
Even so, I went out at night, by myself when I was a little pasty kid. I knew some of the black kids in teh hood and they knew me. I wasn't scared and had nothing to be scared of because generally black people are respectable and wouldn't think of doing anything to a 6 or 7 year old kid.
Same thing when I was 16 went back to visit, old friends askin about me, took another night walk around the blocks.
It's not dangerous. If you piss someone off, then it's dangerous, maybe.

Last time I visited the old hood last year the road was kind of deteriorating since it was made of bricks, but the appearance of the houses hadn't changed much. Some of them looked better. There were nice cars. People sitting around being mindful of things in general.

I don't know where this ghetto image comes from. maybe we see it because it is shoved in our faces by shows like COPS and gangsta rap music.

You know what our local news has been telling us (Anchorage Alaska) lately? They say we have a gang problem. I say **** that we don't have no damn gang problem. I used to know some of these "gang" members. They were/are generally decent people until you pissed them off. It's all hype and hysteria over a few bad kids.
Other than the hysteria, there is a lot of poor people out there that aren't getting a fair chance at life because they don't go to a good school, they have poor role models, they don't understand the importance of getting a good roll on your education. I didn't even understand that and I went to great schools. Went to a mostly white school in Detroit during my short stay there as a kid and just as a silly anecdote, the only kid that could outrun me was black. Guess what I mean to say is give them a chance and just like anyone else they can do great things.

I'm not saying hand everything to them on a platter, like this Welfare nonsense. Instead of being an elitest whiner bitch some good teachers and good people could move to some bad neighborhoods and spruce it up like my grandmother did. People would ****in appreciate that.

Apparently they lived in one of the poorer 'hoods in New York. They were nice people for the most part. I live near Lowell, MA. I was brought up learning that we lived on the other side of the railroad tracks. There is a railroad station where I live too. Once you cross that line, there is a long strectch of road. You then hit a junk yard where the sewage treatment plant is. All the Mexicans work outside while their bosses are inside handling the cash register. Also a plant called "Corenko" (think that's how it's spelt) that is near there. They supposidly get animal fat and other shit and let it rot in the sun. That lovely smell just wafts all around that long stretch of road. Do watch out for any Puerto Rican coming out of the junk yard with his car that looks like it was built in the junkyard. I understand that nobody can afford a nice BMW (nor do I have one) but these cars are pure shit. You have to watch out for them too because they just cut you off.

So your following this car to Lowell and there are cops on this long stretch of road. They know people love to show off their Hondas. The more closer you get to Lowell the faster the road gets worst. In other words, you crossed the train tracks, i.e. the line. There is pot holes everywhere and it's highly congested. The highway that surrounds Lowell makes you feel like your in the Baha 500. When going over a bridge it get's highly dangerous as you literally smash into the potholes. They have a major problem with Cambodian gangs over there. When I worked at Jiffy Lube in Lowell, my assistant manager was nearly shot while everybody nearly witnessed it. Another of my co-workers nearly stabbed him the following week. A cop saw this too and asked one of us "should I break up these two?" The co-worker was then re-hired because he said in essence "sorry". I also had a "friend" there (not really) and said he was part of a gang (looked like a crack head too).

Everybody gives you a look of "are you going to pull out a gun or are you here to steal something?" And yet I made lot's of friend's at that place. Yes they made fun of themselves, and yes we were all racist. In fact I called the place "ghetto lube" and the pizza guy across the street would come over weekly to show us the newest pirated movies he had. I once said that they should feature Lowell, MA in a GTA game. My co-workers broke open a box of beers and started to just drink them one afternoon and some even started smoking pot. Everybody in Lowell has a Honda, Puerto Rican music thumping in the car, a whiny exhaust, plastic spinners, and plastic wings. If they don't, it's a black SUV with spinners on them. When you go into little Italy in Boston you get a feeling that they really don't care about you.

If you go to China town you deffinitaly get the feeling people are watching you. If any of you ever lived near a city you would know what I'm talking about. And frankly I don't give a shit if you think I'm racist or not. Nor do I think I'm a wigger who has it tough. It's just that MA is a completely shitty state and NH just uses us for jobs.
