FilePlanet's exclusive File Reserve system lets subscribers reserve a spot to automatically download a demo or beta client the moment it is officially released. Clicking the "Reserve Now" button is all it takes - just leave your Download Manager running and it will automatically start downloading as soon as the file becomes available.

With File Reserve, you don't have to remember release dates to be among the first to get a file. Delivery is automatic and satisfaction is instant!

  • Automatically start downloading the instant a file becomes available.
  • Get files the moment they are released, even if you're away from the computer.
  • "Fire and forget" functionality - reserve an upcoming file and we do the rest.

"Exclusive" my ass!

Goes to show Valve is doing SOMETHING right.

thats not even really 'pre-loading' right?

Its just starting a download as soon as it is available to download and play...

hrmmmm

Although it is, in a way, pre-loading, it still sounds stupid.

Isn't pre-loading downloading the game BEFORE it's released, but not decrypting it until release date?

This is just reserving a place in the queue. You don't download anything 'till its released.

Probably useless if you're not a subscriber too.

Ok, you guys need to actually follow the link and read the rest of the page:
File Reserves that offer Pre-Loading will allow users to download a secure version of the file to their system - before the game launches! Once the game is officially released, your Download Manager will automatically send you a unique decryption key, allowing you to install and begin playing the game within minutes. You can experience the game while others wait to download - another way for FilePlanet to ensure that subscribers never wait!

  • Select files will be available to download entirely - before a game launches.
  • Download Manager will unlock the files automatically the moment they are officially released.
  • You can install and play while others wait to finish their download!

Nope, pre-loading

Pre=before hand
Loading= well dammit you know

So i don't blame you for thinking that way but its Preloading before you buy the game :)

EDIT

Its pre-pruchasing. After you pre-purchase, they let you pre-load :)
