Have you guys seen the E3 trailer for the sequel to FF7? It looks so insanely awesome I can't wait for it to come out. A few things for any fans to speculate on:

1. Who do you think is the guy in the wheelchair with his face covered?
2. Where did these 3 sephiroth clones come from?
3. Why show the real sephiroth in the flames like in the first game? Is the real seph still alive?

And any additional things you thought were cool about the trailer. :cheers:

Actually, it's going to be a mobile game and movie for the PSP.
 
It wasn't at E3, because it's not a game. :p There is a trailer, it's just not an E3 trailer.

And yes, it looks cool. :)
 
Lans: wrong its a dvd and being released for the psp.

The mobile game you're thinking of is "Before Crisis", which is a prequel of sorts to FF7. Two different products.
 
:hmph: Guy in the wheelchair is sephiroth, obviously he didn't fully recover from clouds badass Omnislash. Those three kids could be his nephews.

Oh and in the trailer, Tifa is still badass!

Oh yeah and where the hell is Yuffie and Red 13 and Cait Sith?!?!?!?

I think the guy in the chair is Zack, since the trailer shows Cloud putting Zacks sword in the ground. How could it be Seph? He was taken over by the Lifestream, i suppose it could be him since the trailer also mentions 'Reunion' again.

Barret looks cool, Rude looks badass, always liked him, Red Xiii and Cid are looking good, Tifa's new lizard ability looks mighty impressive and cloud has cool shades. Yazoo, Loz and Kadaj seem out of place really but should be detailed alot, they could be good. Vicent looks alot better, it looks like he will have a Big role in the Movie, he was my Favorite character because of the whole living in a coffin thing.

The latest scans i have saw show Aeris again, how could she be back? Least she was taken out good, just dont understand why a pheonix down wasn't used on her.

I guessing Yazoo, Loz and Kadaj have something to do with Jenova, only because of Reunion, theres no way Jenova could ultimatley be beaten since Cloud and Zack have Jenova cells...Hmm...

Looking forward to the movie.
 
I think it looks really sweet. What the udder crap the first final fantasy movie should have been.

Apparently you could play with Zack in FFVII, you had to go somewhere in the Temple Of The Ancients into some room, do something, and then later on you'd find him somewhere. I've forgot where I got the info from, but I'm pretty sure someone posted screenshots somewhere detailing his stats etc ........ And yes, know it's vague, but I remember the room (In the The Temple Of The Ancients) being a morgue or something ...........

FF7 was a great game, which mad me sweat like a monkey (if they do sweat).
 
FF7 was one of my favourite games for the wonderfully delicious story.

The guy in the wheelchair is sephiroth, i think. ANd no, not because he didnt recover from clouds badass omni slash... but here is my theory:

There were 13 seph clones. In the end, cloud fights one of the clones, not the original sephiroth himself. Why?

Remember when cloud fell into the lifestream and afterwords was stuck in that wheelchair all "whoooaaaahooowhoooooo oooaaa" and all messed up? Yeah... now think back to the flashback with cloud and sephy working together in nibelheim... cloud stabbed him and dropped him into the mako stuff at the bottom (the same stuff the lifestream was made out of) and then he was encassed in the materia.

Well when weapon came originally, sephy fell from the ceiling of the cave where he was encased in the materia... and probably was put in the wheelchair by Hojo while they looked for a cure (but clouds cure was in his head). He's been all googly like cloud from the lifestream since, thus, in the wheelchair in advent children, and thats... hmm... was was his name? one of the three grey haired bad guys in AC kneeling down to him.

Possibly seph clones that didnt work out? I don't know about that

That sephiroth you fight in the end of the game? One of Hojo's crazy clones. WHy do you think they needed to clone him in the first place?


Anyways... thats my theory.

Definitely going to buy the movie and prequel (though I havent heard of the prequel)

I think the guy in the wheelchair is Hojo and those three Sepiroth like people are like remaining clones of him..
 
Personally, I hope that it is Sephiroth in the wheelchair because he is such a cool character. Perhaps he is using the three mini-sephiroths to find the head of JENOVA or something.. :hmph:

Hehe i can talk for hours about FF7. And you got a interesting theory MrWhite. But in the end, the story is based on what the player himself wants to think. Thats why FF7 became a big succes. The real villian should/is be Jenova, so im pretty sure we will hear more about Jenova in the upcoming movie.

aparantly i heard there has been a desiese spread around, thats killed off loads of people. maybe some of the characters died in that... or maybe they just persued different lives. I certainly like the idea that zack could be in it, but its more likely that squaresoft will keep the story relatively easy to pick up for newcomers.

Somehow i dont think hojo is in the wheelchair, as he kinda killed himself by mutating his body like that... but it could be sephorioth or even some other form of jenova.

and the 3 enemies might not actually be clones, they could be actual children of one of the clones. They could even be clouds kids...

and the films not just coming out on the PSP btw, its a DVD that just happened to be converted to PSP format. (at least last time i heard. they didnt say it was a PSP exculsive on the vid, which i watched all 15 mins of ;) ) they probally couldnt make it an exclusive anyway, coz no-one will buy it as the PSP is too damn expensive.
 
Man this thread is like picking up the past. I cant remember a thing about FF7 hardly and i played through it 3 times. Such a sweet game.

Sethproth (sp?) is the most bad ass boss in any game i cant wait for this film, it will be great. Oh and FF spirits within i actually thought was pretty good :hmph:
 
FF spirits was pretty good but it has nothing to do with final fantasy.

and i have completed FF7 6 1 time, FF7 4 times, FF8 2 times, FF9 3 times and FFX 2 times, so NER :p
 
I'd be quite surprised if Zack was in it. I am actually in the process of playing it again (I'm at the end collecting everything) and I watched a cool cutscene that my friends and I had never seen before. You go back to the Shinra Mansion's basement again after the lifestream incident where Cloud is gone...and you see the cutscene.

Zack and Cloud were captured after the day Cloud threw Sephiroth off the platform in the Nibelheim reactor. Some guy came to give them food, and Zack somehow got out of his cell type thing...and beat up the guy, he got Cloud out and they escaped (and sometime around here Zack gave Cloud his purple outfit). You see them riding in the back of the truck (Cloud is extremely weak and doesn't even really talk, his head keeps lolling around and Zak had to carry Cloud out). Zack's talking to Cloud and deciding what they both want to do for the rest of their lives in Midgar. Zack comes to the conclusion with the help of the truck driver that he and Cloud should become mercenaries.

Later, Zack is carrying cloud again across some anonymous landscape. Then he sets Cloud down, runs off-screen to fight some Shinra soldiers off to protect the two of them. He comes back to Cloud, and more soldiers come onscreen this time, and shoot Zack. He flies back. The soldiers walk up to him, ignoring Cloud...and unload into Zack's chest while he's down. The soldier then asks what to do about Cloud...the commander says forget him...and they leave.

Cloud wakes up later, and sees Zack dead, picks up Zack's buster sword...and walks to the edge of the cliff. The camera pans up, and right in front of him...is Midgar.

I thought this cutscene was really cool...because going through the game, you had no idea where Cloud gets Zack's clothes and sword, and gets to Midgar...and you just sort of assume that Zack dies on top of one of those containers in the reactor (at least my friends and I did).
 
I just hope I get to see the some battles (like in the PS version) with materia, KotR, Omnilash, and so forth! :D
 
God knows how many times i played it on ps1. I still sometimes play it on my PC just to remember eveything again. But im sure i played it more then 5 times.
 
the only thing i hate about the pc version is that the great music score is reduced to midi shit.
 
yeah so true, the music sucks on PC. But i still like it, those good old days :p.. Anyways, i heard there was some sort of music-patch for it. It contains all original ff7 music, like on ps1.
 
Yea well lets run a search and look for it cuz i want it.
 
Filefront has all 4 discs with them in MP3 format, i have them saved on my comp, ill try to find the link, i think you can just replace them.
 
id download all the music if you found a link... i could use them in my warcraft 3 map :)

plus its great anyway
 
The site that had the main link to all the discs whole has been shut down, the packed files (disc 1-4) on filefront have also gone, but have been replaced by the single files, i guess its easier to find the ones that are good now:

I finished FF7 last month for the first time. I originally played FF7 was on the PS1, I never could finish becuase the third disc was heavily scratched.

/edit Now that I think about it my fourth disc for FF8 was badly scratched too. I'm beggining to think my brother may be the cuase.

To this date I still havn't finished FF8.

Don't worry about that, in the fourth disc it got very wierd. In the end I had trouble understanding what the hell was going on, there were just too many new things introduced that you hadn't heard a thing about before.
 
Hmm, I've never 100% completed FF7, I play it on PS1 now and again, It pwns, haven't seen the trailers tho.

Ive played and completed FF7 many times, i can never get bored of it. To me, its one of the best games ever made..if not THE best.
 
You guys forgetting about FF VI? VI was freakin incredible, even if it was still 2d.
