Final Presidential Debate

pretty much like the last one, imo.. kerry has thrown details around a lot, but i don't think that that works with mid-america, honestly. i'd call it a wash.

edit: it's not "idea", it's an I.D.R. the international day of reckoning!!

What about the other ones? ;( ;(

Here is what I think:

Kerry and Edwards are both extremely sleazy for ever mentioning something as stupid and unimportant as Cheney's lesbian daughter. They just want to sway *certain religious people's* votes by giving out that info. Just because he has a lesbian daughter doesn't change his viewpoints. And that is besides the point, even, since it isn't gay relationships that are going to be banned, it is just the marriage. (Although, don't get me wrong, I am against the banning of gay marriage)

It is also a moronic thing to raise the minimum wage. It will just cause inflation, and we will be back where we started. Also, it is a very bad thing for anyone who is currently being paid $7 an hour, which is higher than minimum wage. When it becomes minimum wage, everyone getting paid $7 won't get a raise, and will be getting paid the equivalent of everyone that used to get $5, due to inflation.

:| I hate both Presidental canidates.

But I beleive that Bush is better. That is why my vote would go to Nader. But I'm too young so it doesn't matter :D

And kill the others with ice? I think I made a funneh..

hay kerry is wearing one of those Livestrong foundation bracelets

I only caught the last few minutes, but it was pretty even really. I'm not from the states, and I don't like Bush, but Bush didn't do too bad. I did have a few "head shaking" moments when Bush spoke, but overall, this debate did nothing to sway the great undecided in this country. It's gonig to be a close call come election time... Personally, I think Bush is going to win it again, unfortunately.

I agree with Erestheux on the thing with gay marriages
:) Thanks, I spent way too long on that for someone who tries to avoid political discussion on the 'net.

Again, I think Kerry did better this debate. I was a supporter of Bush, but I am truly undecided at this point in time.

...I think Kerry did say Idear

Well, that was fun... I can't really say who 'won' as that's not really the point... but I can say that I feel even better for voting for Kerry now. :)

What, did you do an absentee vote?

Bush won the debate.

Internet polls are pretty worthless.
What are you talking about?
79,351 votes
Bush : 15%
Kerry: 85%

In my opinion.

I agree with Kerry on most of his issues, but I think he just didn't seem very personable tonight, which will hurt him.

No... well, not yet... I am going to do an absentee vote, though. :p (It should be in the mail now.) I was just saying I had already planned on it, but now I feel more comfortable doing so...

From the little bit of after debate commentary I could see, Bush won this one. It doesnt really matter though because everyone was watching baseball.

Awesome, another Table Tennis fan?

I play twice a week with a bunch of friends. I wish I could get a table, but we don't have a room big enough to fit one adequately. I have trouble getting slams, although I am great at returns.

Aw, table tennis is awesome
I dont know where a table is
So i never play though
I'd prolly be really bad if i did ^_^

I love watching proffessionals
Thats just one awesome sport
They get pretty crazy

Personally, Bush's "the armies of compassion" statement (both times) made my stomach cave in (and gave me a giggle). And I remembered
"War is peace
Freedom is slavery
Ignorance is strength"

I thought Kerry did much better than Bush. I think the last debate was more of a tie, but I think bush lied (of cource they both always distort, but I think it was uneven this time) more this time. The most obvious one was "wha? I never said "I don't see osama as much of a threat anymore, honestly, I don't think about him much" ahyuck". Kind of like his "need sum wood... *bush laugh*" lie that the average american wouldn't know he is lying to their stupid ass faces.

Also, the strong woman in your life question was retarded, and should've been replaced with an environment question.

When you increase minimum wage it causes inflation and prices rise. The net effect is nothing really just people who make a little more but have to pay a little more for stuff as well.

I believe Kerry took that into account when he proposed the raise. He mentioned that the net value of minimum wage was the lowest in 50 years (or something like that). Net value isn't dollar amount, it's the actual value of how much these people are receiving. By raising it, he would actually just be restoring it to a more normal economic level. By not raising it, the dollar amount and value will continue to decrease until people can afford less and less--and you know that's not good for the economy either.

How can you trust a poll that requires you to vote to see the results? Doesn't seem the best way to conducte a poll to me. Especially when a bunch of people (like me) who just randomly click on one candidate to see the results.
This is not a scientifically valid survey.

;-)

P.S. If anyone gets a video of this debate, please send it to me either through PM or e-mail @ johan.tayn [at] gmail [dot] com .

Ya, that's just an online poll where anyone can vote.

Here's a couple real polls, though they can certainly be somewhat wrong as well seeing as they are snap polls.

I think cnn has the debate videos on their website.

Meh, I think it'll be a close run, but I hope Kerry can do it.

Screw Kerry, Bush, and Nader....

VOTE 4 ME!!!

Can someone get worse than GW?
Don't think so...

VOTE KERRY

This doesn't really mean much of anything as none of these are scientific polls, but I just thought it was mildly interesting none the less.
