Hello!
For some of you the name Finland at War may not tell anything or it sounds boring subject. But it wasn't. Finland was shield of third reich, brothers-in-arms, against Russia. Without Finland, Russians could have concentrated more power against Germany and the war could have been won earlier by Russia.
War of Finland begins in year 1939 when Soviet armed forces crossed the boarder of Finland and started the war. Russian thought that they would win within 2 weeks. After 100 days of cruel battles, Finland and Russia signed peace - 25 000 dead and 8 000 wounded finnish soldiers, 330 000 dead and 187 000 wounded russians. This is the part our first release will handle - the famous Winter War.
You may think "what new does this mod bring?". The most important thing is that we are giving you a new aspect of the war instead of old Germans vs Allied. War beetween Russia & Finland is very interesting, giving you man-vs-man battles in trenches, forests & towns. We will also give you totally new gameplay system instead of old capture the flag.
But, the most important thing of this thread. We are looking for talented and active skinners, coders, russian voice actors & translators and animators. No matter what nationality you are, we will welcome you in to our team! So, you can send your applications to [email protected] .
