I never got into Lost for some reason. I haven't watched a single episode.

Yay! I saw Episode 2! :D

I think Mr. Reynolds has some conflicting morality, because he feels guilt about stealing meds, but has no problem with killing people very abruptly. D:

Only if they deserve it. ^_^

Edit - Or more likely, if it means endaring his crew to let them live. Protective type, and all that.

Well, I mean at the first episode, the law enforcement guy pulls a gun to River's (That's the girl, rihgt?) head and, says: "I'm not playing around anymore!"

Captain Reynolds: *pulls out gun, shoots guy in a second*

You'd think he coula have negotiated to prevent the unneeded loss of human life. :E

That time he was just plain pissed off. :P

Lawman had already shot one of his crew, reavers inbound, just survived a major firefight = Pissed of Mal = Dead lawman. Only time I've ever seen Mal not behave "correctly" in that respect is the end of the movie.

*spoiler*

He should have killed the agent.

Mal has a strange sense of morals, and I'm pretty sure that killing Alliance people doesn't bother him at all.

True. He said it best himself I think; "If and when I kill you, you will be awake. You will be facing me, and you will be armed."
Lawman in the episode did all three, and ontop of that, Mal was pissed and the man had already shot Kaylee.

Two episodes to go!

Rewatching Serenity once I'm done. Loved it the first time, but it's gonna be so much more enjoyable when I actually know who everyone is. ^_^

Yep. However, the Lawman (his name is Lawrence Dobson) didn't die... he comes back in the Serenity: Those Left Behind comics.

Yeah, that's the only thing that I thought was a bit ridiculous in the comic.

Mal clearly shot Dobson in the head, and then tossed him out of the ship, and then there were the Reavers that were on the planet. :/

Man, I'm loving this show more and more, and I've only watcehd 4 episodes.

Firefly is the most overrated show on the internet.

Its one of those internet phenomena things that defy logic. Like the hype that built up Snakes on a Plane, or lonelygirl15.

The show's not bad, but there ae far better shows on TV that no one bothers to watch, like....oh...just off the top of my head

Apparently 1) Whitefall wasn't completely annihilated by the Reavers and 2) Mal managed to shoot him in the eye without him dying

hehe.

'Uh, Mal... didn't you shoot this guy in the head -'

'No, you moron. The pound of metal grafted to my face, it's purely cosmetic.'

Firefly's awesome because it managed to kick ass without even getting a full season.

So I think it's unfair to say any show is better than something that never completely got off its feet.
The Wire is a great show though.

I'm currently working on a fansite (just all the canon information, info about the universe / planets / characters / episodes). It won't be done for a while, I'm still working on the layout / design and haven't even gotten to content yet, other than organizing where it will go. But, question: should I bother with forums or not?

Hell yes. God bless you Ennui, god bless.

**** yeah, do the forums!

Then advertise the site everywhere you can. :D

Some small parts seems to be missing though, small fragments go unexplained, either way, excellent show.

Btw, its only 14 episodes they got out right?

I didn't say any show, i'm just trying to say that its popularity on the internet isn't equal to the actual quality of the show.

Like Return of the King or Shawshank Redemption on imdb.com is not the 2nd and 3rd best films of all time.

Well, I guess I'll think about including forums in the site, though that will require considerably more upkeep :P I'll keep you guys posted, I'm still trying to think of a name.

Any suggestions, on that front? For the name of the site, specifically, but also just general ideas for the site would be nice. I want to keep it low-maintenance (where I can just go through it all and update what's necessary whenever new Firefly material comes out, like the upcoming comic book).

I'm thinking of FoundSerenity.net (like the theme song) but surely there are better ideas.

I think foundserenity.net is just fine.

Firefly was an awesome series, though I blame Fox for dorking up Whedon's vision. The universe was unique. Nitty gritty sci-fi is cool.

Are there Firefly books? I think the Firefly Universe would make a great series of novels.

Did anyone watch Starhunter? I enjoyed it from time to time.

Damnit, they moved the time to freaking 9am.

Now I can't watch it anymore. :(

There is a graphic novel, with one or two more on the way, and a novelization of the movie Serenity, as well as visual companions (IE explanatory books) for Serenity and Firefly.

Yes, the wire is brilliant, I can't see firefly being even half as good.

Have you seen the third or fourth season yet?

Firefly is the reason fox is in my sig.

Also, in that quiz I got A Reaver?!?!

But the first time I got Simon Tam :P

14 episodes is all there is from the entire life span of firefly correct?

Don't forget the comic book after that, which covers about 1 episode. Then yeah like Direwolf says, the movie.
