I'm starting to think you have an unhealthy obsession with achievements.
Well, I know plenty people worse than me, at least I still only buy games that are fun, I have a friend who buys ALL games for achievements.

Games for Windows can suck a dick

I'll be getting it on the PS3 anyways, the PC demo controls were a bit odd

Just found this over on SA:

I just did a side-by-side comparison of the 360 and PS3 versions, since I happen to have both consoles. I know I wanted one or the other, but after making the mistake of buying Skate 2 on PS3, I decided I'd better try both to be sure. Both consoles are hooked up to the same 1080p TV, both via HDMI. I just switched back and forth to check things. They both play fine, and if I had only played the PS3 version, I wouldn't have had a problem with it.

But I also played the 360 version, and the difference was like night and day. The framerate seems faster to me, but that's not very definite. The colors though are far better on 360, very noticeably so. The textures on PS3 look muddy by comparison. On PS3 Batman's outfit looks 'grayish.' With a grainy, blocky sort of look. On 360 the Batsuit looks like it's made of a smooth, rubbery grey armor-like material. It's a bit hard to explain that any other way.

In what seems to be the standard, the PS3 version isn't doing any antialiasing. At all. People look ok usually, but any time I encounter grates, railing, bars, or fences, it looks like a low-end PS2 game. Asylums are basically made of those things, so it's a constant issue. I think that's also part of the reason the colors/textures look bad, because the shadows themselves are jagged, and there's a lot of shadows in a Batman game. Unfortunately they're doing the old "add bloom absolutely everywhere" trick to hide it, which isn't really helping.

That's just my findings, anyway.
I'd love to play as Joker, but I think I have to go with 360 here.

Awesome.

Yeah, it really does look and play much nicer on my PC vs my PS3. I really don't mind the PC controls, though I'm sure I could just go out and grab a 360 controller it if bothered me that much.

Yeah, generally when it comes to multiplatform games, the 360 seems to get a superior version from a technological standpoint, especially if the game is also coming out to PC, personally I guess it is mostly related to the fact that the XB360 architecture is much closer to PC architecture, than the PS3 is.

Reminds me of Chronicles Of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena, it was the same, no AA in the PS3 version, muddy textures, poorer colours etc.

Anyway, the PC version runs okay for me at maxed settings at 1024x768, but that can't really compete with the 360 version for me, since I can easily run it on my 1080p HDTV without worrying about performance, as well as achievements(Though a guy in here mentioned the PC version is getting them to).

+ I can always easily acquire the PC version later, on the 360 I can't, since mine ain''t flashed.

Just finished the demo. It was descent, however, just like Ghostbusters I feel sceptical about getting it. Main reason is I have too many other games I want to finish and I doubt I'll get the time or patience to ever bother playing through aformentioned titles.

Just finished the demo again, probably have done it like 6 times now, first day buy over here.

When my mate gets it which he will I will just commandeer his controller and play it there. If I like ps3 version for me. The demo had me interested but I am not letting my guard down. Looks awesome so far.

It's a shame that I can't pick up a cheap 8600GTS for Physx to run alongside my 4890.

I'd like to play as the joker but...

I watched a video featuring that "PS3 bonus". Pathetic, it's literally the fight challenge where batman sees how many enemies he can take at once, with the joker copy/pasted in his place. Joker deathmatch, that's how he rolls!

Joker DEATHMATCH? Are you ****ing serious? Those sons of bitches. How dare they do this.

Money. Thats how.

Sony: "We need an EXCLUSIVE FEATURE in this batman game, something that will make people want to buy it for the PS3. THINK GENTLEMEN THINK"

Guy 1: "Maybe we can just somehow focus on the PS3 version not looking shittier then the 360 version and try to give our customers the same experience as an xbox 360 or PC owner?"

Guy 2: "TWO WORDS OKAY MAYBE THREE. JOKER. DEATH. MATCH."

Sony: "Guy 1 you're fired, Guy 2 you've got yourself a ****ing promotion! Our work here is done!"

I am still tempted to buy ps3 version.

Also, do we know if it will include drm of any sort?

Wrong, bioshock , crysis and stalker clear sky on steam would like to talk to you

anyone know how to change the resolution of the PC demo on steam?
no splash screen when launching the game and there's no option in-game (unless i'm blind)

PS.
i think i'll be getting the PC version although i prefer playing with the gamepad

Isn't there a file in the game's folder somewhere called "BmLauncher.exe"? That's the config setup file.
