thank god....im so glad at least ONE mod is completely pulling away from the hl2 themed world. i was getting sick of seeing every mod picture so far showing a level that looked in one way or another from hl2. all dm maps coming out and cs maps look hl2 themed as well. you know the whole beach scene with water, or the prison look. total conversion, in a city, like this mod is doing, is a blessing.

This doesnt look like a "total conversion" to me. Those look like HL2 textures, and the models are definitly HL2. Also the graff decals are from HL2. Not to say it looks bad, because it looks like it's coming along quite nicely, but to praise these two pictures for being completely different from the HL2 universe is a bit of a misstatement. And pretty much all of the mods I have seen look very little like HL2, so I'm not sure what you are talking about, ShinRa. I mean, just a couple of posts down there is the whole Mana Mod which looks like Zelda64.

it looks nothing like HL2. the point about most of the mods looking like HL2 is that they have similar areas. none of the textures (or very few) are from HL2
