I would be suprised If any of us actually have the time to make this game from scratch, but I've found something that I think would be very helpful.
If any of you have played/heard of the game "Madness Interactive" it would work perfectly for what we have in mind for Halflife2.net, side scrolling with guns and tons of enemies. If anyone knows basic Flash this would be very easy to do.

There are tons of these flash-game source codes all over the net, we could find the perfect one If this one doesn't meet your requirements.

Yes, that's a very good idea, they have an open source version of the game and all it is is editing simple symbols within Flash.

But that's not the type of game we are looking for.

Hmmmm...I was thinking more RPG/MMO based...Like so everyone can chat with each other and kill shit...

I was thinking more RPG based too. That or side scrolling platforming ala Mario. But that would need one central character. Then again, an RPG will sort of.

Me and Tr0n were thinking about making it a hl2 mod. Replacing the models with these sprites.

Was looking around for some Rpgmaker shots. (I use to use it, didnt really get the grasp of it.) and came across this. First shot isnt interesting to me, but the others are exactly what I meant! Isometric and all!
From what I remember, making it like that would require alot of custom work. Someone translate perhaps? I believe the newest version out is Rm2k3. Or something.

Lets not even start on the storyline.

- bliink's name is now purple
- TDE's name is in different colours
- new design for moi
- CptStern's shirt... is different (might have to zoom in )
- and added a Munro!
