I think i need to get a 360 not for Forza..... and the racing wheel...

I really like the in-car models for Dirt. All racing games need that. However after looking at the other screens I gotta say the graphics aren't very impressive after playing Motorstorm.

Figured you'd say something like that, having seen your other PS3 fanboyism posts. I like how you praised the joint PS3/360 title yet insulted the 360 exclusive title (which clearly looks even better than CMR) ... seriously Scott, is Sony paying you? Do you work for Sony? What?

Are those renders or does the game really have a real good motion blur?

Both games have in-game motion blur but the above SSs have their effects added in their photo-modes a la PGR3.

forza 2 dont look that great and looks very similiar to the first one

is this game any good? is it realistic or more like an arcade game?

Forza 2 is like Microsofts version Gran Turismo imo, only with GOOD AI.:)

Anyway, that looks sweet, now all we need is for Logitech to release their G25 wheel for the 360!:D

What the hell are you going on about, he didn't mention Forza in his post at all. He said he liked the in-car models, but looking at the other screens(Maybe the outside screens of CMR) he wasn't as impressed. Oh well, fanboys always jump at the slightest possibility of something bad being said about their system.

Anyway, both look ok, but are definately not at the top of their genre in graphics.

Haha, typical reaction. Motorstorm does look better than Dirt, and yeah Forza looks good too. I however know nothing about it and since it's only coming to 360, which I don't have, I didn't bother to look it up or comment. Dirt is coming to both PS3 and 360 so I bothered.

It may be better than Motorstorm, I've never played the previous games in the series. And for the record I was very disappointed with Motorstorm, it really wasn't that great - good racing game but not great. Then again I really don't like racing games that much in the first place.

How does this make me a "fanboy"? I wasn't even insulting a 360 exclusive game. If anyone is showing those tendencies then it's you. I have repeatedly said that 360 titles like Bioshock, Mass Effect, and Alan Wake look like great games. I wish they were coming to PS3, but they're not so I have to wait until I upgrade my PC. Seriously, just because I have an opinion on which console I like better doesn't make me a "fanboy".

It's your comments in the other threads that gave me the 'you're a ps3 fanboy' idea... anyway, relax.

I've played motorstorm on a 40" HDTV and it does look very sweet, but certainly not sweet enough to spend over ?500 to play just one good game.

im looking forward to both :)
might even buy the wireless wheel!

Wow, not even 360 posts are immune now. And the supposed "flamer" didn't even mention PS3 in his post. And the price has already been brought up on the first page... by the OP.

This is ****ing epic derailment :E

Edit - Also, WANT DIRT.

Forza will get a hire.

DIRT looks like it may be the sleeper hit of the year. They have soft bodies for the cars, meaning they will deform realistically if you hit a tree or another car. Frankly, that's pretty much sells the game for me.

Yeah, no joke. Apparently choosing one console over the other is a crime these days. "OMG YOU DON'T LIKE MY CONSOLE YOUR GAY!@!@#%%!!"

I hate people....

I don't think Dirt looks that great imo. It's pretty but not top of the line.

I want Forza 2 more than any other 360 game coming out this year

have you played it?

No, but if CMR Dirt is made by the same devs as the previous versions the cars will be about as refined as slipping on a soggy banana.

No console game thesedays would dare to go for realistic physics because it'll simply be too hard for the casual kids and be unplayable on anything other than a decent wheel and pedals setup.

I hav never drive a car but forza is diferent from arcadies like need for speed

He was mainly talking about CMR anyway, Forza is definitely no arcade racer. Colin Mcrae games have lately felt like crap IMO.

About Forza's visuals, cartoony isn't the word I'd use but there is something...weird about them.

They're beautiful, yet...maybe it's that uncanny valley thing happening except with cars instead of humans :p

I think forza 2 dont looks so good, and looks too similiar to the first one which wasnt so photorealistc either

Maybe it's all the stupid blurring/blooming/over-reflective cars in those screens :\

I hate that!

yes thats true, thats one reason why gt4 looked a bit realistic that forza

Maybe it's just me but I think PGR3 looks more realistic than those Forza Motorsports 2 screens..

No. Just no. Stop it.

I do think Forza2 is hitting the uncanny valley though. Still, it looks good and might actually get me to get some playtime out of my 360.

If I can survive ramming into a tree at 250+ km/h I cannot see a racing game as being "realistic"

Forza 2 demo available on marketplace THIS MONTH!!! :D

PGR4 preview in this months' OXM, the only things they said they're adding is rolling weather, skies that are overcast may or may not drop rain, rain may freeze in puddle zones on maps, puddles gone through at high speeds will effect driving.

They also showed some screens of rain on cars, VERY SEXY

God, why don't they put in realistic damage modeling already. I've never seen a car crumple realistically, and I think its time with this whole "next generation" of games. For any of you who saw this XNA demo a while back, you would know what I'm talking about.
now why don't they try to implement this instead of minuscule features, like ice on the roads. I mean, who the **** would want to buy the same game with a couple of small features added?

It'll be more than just "ice on roads", the game isn't even close to release, that was just one of the things they were ready to announce as a feature

Also, the graphics are vastly improved (if that is even possible) from PGR3

Most sports games developed at EA are pretty much just this, sadly they still sell enough to warrant sequels.

Just me or did that car look just like something out of Burnout?

They did say they had a new engine for Burnout 5, and that cars could now literally be ripped in half from crashes :O
