French intelligence involved in terrorism?

i love it when people flaunt that idea that the french are weak and haven't had any military victories etc. well, their failures are exaggerated, mainly in order to poke fun (mostly harmless), and as for french military victories i'll just say 'Napoleon'. yeah he was an 'evil dictator' at the time, but he did his bit for france even though he was corsican.

anyway, we love having a dig at the french. a few of my neighbours always have something to say when france are in the news in one way or another. it's mostly harmless, and if push came to shove then i think we'd stand shoulder to shoulder with any frenchman.

but reading that bloke's posts...oh man what a laugh. is he for real? seriously. how can the US education system breed someone that...*can't think of a word*. i know there are a few idiots over here, but nothing that bad. it might be more a case of confused little kid than mature level headed adult.

haha, i loved the way he accused the french, germans and russians of selling copious amounts of weapons to iraq...heh, completely missed out the number one client ;)

I've heard that during WW1 hambugers were renamed 'Liberty Burgers' in the US since they sounded too much like the german city, Hamburg. :)
ahahhaah, did they change spageti (sp?) name because of mussolini too?

Well they certainly didn't refer to Germans as 'krauts' because they loved saurkraut...

Don't think so, that was WW2 anyway.

As for saurkraut I googled 'liberty burgers' and it was renamed to liberty cabbage :)

There was also another change of food names during WWII : the vichyssoise

During World War II some patriotic chefs tried to change the name [of the vichyssoise] to "Creme Gauloise Glacee" because in 1940 a government collaborating with the Nazis was set up in the French town of Vichy
