Fun thread: Weapons cut from the series

It's true, and I'm glad that they were cut.
There is also " No Half-Life 2 β" policy.
 
the OICW might have been more fun then the MP7 smg that was used. The shotgun attached to the underside looks kickass.

Glad the AK and MP5 were cut though. And the Ice axe?
though the Tau Cannon may have been fun.

Okay mech man heres the thing..

1. If you noticed, NOBODY else seems to care, and I'm still here so is it really that big of a rule? Until a moderator tells me different, I don't see anything wrong with it.

2. If all my stuff is so stupid, then why follow me, talk with me, argue with me, and read ALL of my stuff?

And for the record i dont have ANYTHING against you , its just you create threads that have been already created / answered long ago.

And now to answer you thread , i wouldnt mind some of the weapons returning , but i can see why they cut them , like the ice pick is basically the crowbar just with a different skin and possibly different animations.
 
this post is great man, i wonder if it is possible to obtain an HL edition that contains these weapons. according to your wiki posted it was released to public first time.
 
Guy.... Doing that would be illigal , dont ever post something like that again or the mods will be all over it. And it was never released , it was leaked , illigally.

shiit, this mech shiit is like trying to regulate everyone. just like he is doing to this DOG guy, he seems to be giving me an advice after my posts, but the problem is i have no idea who the fak he is. is he site admin? is he mod?
it is like panhandler trying to regulate traffic stop.
 
If you want a legit way to try those weapons, then download the Missing Information mod. It's part of the beta version ported over to the new Source engine, it contain all the old weapons,models the Borealis and the levels shown the E3 videos. As far as a know this is ok, although this forum is incredibly and unnecessary strict when it come to anything related to HL2:Beta.
 
also, the src for pretty much all of the cut weapons can be found in the SourceSDK.

Ok , if you want to start an old fire. I was saying its illigal , so dont do it , im pretty sure most people here are against some one breaking the law on thier forum. And if your going to start more hostilities at least learn to use proper grammar. And I have already apologised to [DOG] so dont try to use that against me because its now up to him/her to decide wether to accept it or not.

I dont recomend downloading this mod , for one i think its illigal to even do that and also it destroyes your computer , at least the gamespot link does.
 
I was playing the RavenholmCZ Sci-Fi mod & one of my doods convinced me to play with the weapons 101 cheat. I have never had so much fun in a mod.

There's a lot of the 'cut weapons' & more. I recommend it if you want to experience a wider selection of weaponry.

As far as a know Valve don't care about this mod. They know about it, and never said a word about it. As for it it damaging you computer, i very much doubt it. I used it and my PC is absolutely fine. Did you try my link? Gamespot is a shitty website and it's probably messed something up.
 
the only action Valve took was to delete MI's page on developer.valvesoftware.com because it was 'illegal'.

What i did play of it was pretty crappy anyway so i dont think i'll try it again. As for "damaging" my comp , it practically destroyed it , it blue screened while i was playing then it restarted , blue screened then ceased to even turn on.

Im not saying the mod did it , its just it happened as i was playing it , so im naturally assuming it was something to do with the mod , be it the download link or wether some one managed to sneak it in there.
 
Or there's a problem with your PC, and it can't handle the mod hence it BSOD.
 
Cant handle the mod? Lol , if my old computer could run games with better graphics than HL2 im pretty sure it could run a mod for half life 2.
 
Clearly not. If your computer BSOD when playing a mod then something wrong with your computer. The fact that you said it once failed to start after it crashed shows something wrong with your computer. I won't be surprised if you got spyware or some other junk, and your just blaming the mod. Also the mod is a port of a beta game, so course it's going to be crappy the material they had were crappy. The only reason i played it is to see what was cut. The levels etc were never completed, so it will look poor when compared to final levels.
 
Hey, let's blame the mod for world hunger as well.
