I can't believe there's not a thread on this already.
We have this amazing engine with amazing characters, a modelviewer that allows us to modify everything, and no funny faces thread? Unbelievable!
You can use CSS models, and way more fun: HL2 models!
To set up you HLMV to accept HL2 models do this:
1) Open Steam (and download the SDK if you don't have it)
2) Go to C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\Accountname\sourcesdk\bin and create a new text file called Gameinfo
3) Copy this code into it:
4) Open HLMV.exe from the bin folder, NOT Steam.
5) You can now load HL2 models.
BTW: Does anyone have a way to make the HLMV video settings higher? All textures are a bit low res.
My G-Man is having a big WTF moment:
EDIT: ah I get it, the G-Man has a low and high res model. Now one with the high-res:
"Yeah baby, yeah... go on... oooh that's nice!"
