Let's all go a little easy friends, I would prefer if this thread didn't turn into a flaming cluster****

hope you manage to sort everything out man. might want to check out the Triangle area in NC (Durham, Chapel Hill, Raleigh), it's a pretty great place to live, good employment (relatively anyway), and I don't think you'd have any trouble finding an apartment or house or whatever.

But the traffic makes me want to murder things whenever I go home. Might be a Cary thing though.

Cary is the last place around the Triangle I would recommend to anyone. Their building codes are so strict and yuppie and high-class that everything is made out of brick and has columns and you can't tell the difference between a gas station and a bank unless you can see the gas pumps.

I don't go to Cary much (only whenever my Volvo needs repairs), albeit I do live on the Cary side of Durham so I'm only 10 minutes away from it.

Sounds nice.

hmmm, no I don't pretend I handled things smoothly. As I've admitted in the past I'm immature. I have no explanation, it's just the way I am I guess. But to my defense, people do and say stupid things when they are in a rage.

Anyway, I just told the story because I felt the need to explain because of all the responses. not proud of the way I acted.

The kicking the wall thing .. well, I kick down dead trees for practice, one kick at a time. I've been training to kill for about 10 years, self defense, no rules, and trained to fight for about 18. I'm not trained for a gentleman's duel or whatever the hell this man was thinking.

I was FULL of adrenaline, I was upset, and was frustrated because I knew it would be idiotic to fight the guy that owns my shelter/water supply.. .the home that holds most everything I own and care about.

I'm built like Sinkoman, yet I talk more shit than Hulk Hogan, and I can't help it. I've got huge ****ing bull balls and so the aggression comes with that. Advantages and disadvantages. I learned really young my mouth gets me into trouble, and so, growing up, after kids at school kept wanting to fight me, I knew I better learn to fight, especially because of my small size.

It's a good thing the squabble didn't go any further because I found out over the phone today that I can stay here after all. No apologies from either of us.

Turns out he was fighting with his wife and was already quite upset so that explains why he picked a fight with me in the first place.

I mean this guy is a bit wild, here is an example; He tackled, restrained, and disarmed a police officer one night out drinking when he was about my age. Took the cops gun and wouldn't give it back. Explained that he thought the officer was going to use it on him because he was reaching for it.

Well, with me and my landlord all patched up, well, on more civil terms at least, I am allowed to stay here, so I have more time to get situated. But I do want to move out ASAP of course.

here is the rest of the story. Not quite as interesting:

I spent Father's Day with my family and they spent about an hour explaining what they have all agreed would be best for me.

Here is their list of things they suggest:

First thing I do is go by the emergency homeless shelter and tell them that I am homeless and I am living out of my car. They have a place to stay for a night, two, maybe three. They will help me find more permanent, but still temporary shelter.

Turns out there is also another place that will take you in for up to 2 years or more, depending on your situation. They assist you looking for a house and job and other things. Problem is there is a waiting list, so this is not a sure bet.

In the morning they suggest I rent a storage unit for at least 3 months. It's like a garage that I rent.

I got the phone number and drove by and took a look. It's close to where I live. I'm going to rent a Moving truck and move all my stuff in in one day. Tomorrow.

My father has been kind enough to give me another 2 months to get my stuff out of his basement as well, so I will likely move at least some of the bigger things into the storage unit as well, if not everything. Depends on if I have energy left.

Well sucks that you are homeless as thats ****ed up as it is, but yeh fighting about stuff just escalates the situation, I know you were majorily pissed off but maybe you learn from that mistake and just shout random profanaties later on.

I mean Ive learnt how to do harm to someone else and how to defend myself all my life, but I also learnt that fighting isnt the answer unless you or one of your friends/family was threatened physically. Thankfully that has never happened, there have been many times when I could have just easily knocked a guy out cold when pissing me because there have been times where people really drove me up the wall, but I chose not to. Believe me you will get far with that mentality.

I wish you luck on finding a new home/job anyway.

Yeah, self control is definitely not one of my strong points. It's never gotting any better despite trying over the years. I guess it's kind of hard to control self-control when you have a lack of self-control.

And that is exactly how I feel. I will fight to defend myself or my family, possibly even for less severe reasons, but definitely not because I don't like someone. I just stop being around them.

You're a pretty messed up person Virus.

They could make a movie about him.

AN AVERAGE MAN WITH A NOT SO AVERAGE SECRET

I've been training to kill for about 10 years, self defense, no rules, and trained to fight for about 18. I'm not trained for a gentleman's duel or whatever the hell this man was thinking.

HE WAS TRAINED AS A FIGHTER AT EIGHTEEN, BUT TAUGHT TO KILL AT TWENTY-TWO

I'm built like Sinkoman, yet I talk more shit than Hulk Hogan, and I can't help it. I've got huge ****ing bull balls and so the aggression comes with that. Advantages and disadvantages .

WITH THE RAGE OF A BULL, BUILT LIKE A SINKOMAN

INSIDE OF A HOMELESS SHELTER, HE REALIZES WHAT HE MUST DO

My father has been kind enough to give me another 2 months to get my stuff out of his basement as well, so I will likely move at least some of the bigger things into the storage unit as well, if not everything.

WITH ONLY TWO MONTHS LEFT, NO ONE WILL GET IN HIS WAY

Depends on if I have energy left.

oh..... well, HE IS VIRUS TYPE 2

lol... kicking things in anger. My little brother did that when he was seven.

Anyways, you said you have money, why not just get an apartment?

There isn't any available so far. Called about 2 dozen in the area. I have to keep trying back to many of them though. I need a 1 bedroom, which is the quickest to fill up. Most people stay for a long time.

<3 Zombie

that's a bit of a stretch. A hilarious one. I don't mean to imply that I'm some sort of assassin. My description sounds over the top for Chuck Norris even. lol. :3

I guess I just acted out the fight in my mind too much. I just really want to prove something to this guy I guess. Oh well, that's for the movies.

Tiger Knee!

Screw political correctness...! TIGER GENOCIDE!!!

Great job confronting an unstable ****er who owns your apartment. Pick your battles man... What was he on about anyway? Were you renting your apartment 2nd hand?
Good luck, I'd have no second thoughts about lending you room if you were remotely near my place. You're a good guy, something good's bound to turn up from all this.

I got in a fist fight with my landlord yesterday! Nobody talks to me like that.

I have a 2 days to get my stuff out

I may not be back for a while after that.

I haven't been able to find a place to live or a job, despite having plenty of money saved up and a car that is paid for.

The economy is completely ****ed and unemployment higher than hell.

So, I am actually a hobo now.

/facepalm

You may not have to move, get some advice, and quickly.
Depending on whether ot not you have a lease agreement, you have a number of rights.....
You have the right to a proper eviction notice
If you do not have a lease agreement, the landlord can evict you without any reason; however, you must receive a 30-day written notice. If the eviction is for nonpayment of rent, the landlord may give you a ?five-day pay or quit notice.? If the rent is not paid within five days, the landlord must go to court or give you written notice to leave.

See VRLTA Section 55-248.35

If you have a lease agreement, and your lease ends, you must quickly move out of the apartment. When moving out, you must remove all items that belong to you, leaving the apartment in a good and clean condition; reasonable wear and tear are expected.

See VRLTA Section 55-248.20

I would advise you to do whatever it takes to not be made homeless (including an apology) just sort it out while you can.
You sound too willing to accept the story of your flaws, and that is just a coveniant way of not getting to grips with them.

Dont run, deal.
