I still say they should make an expansion where you play as a headcrab. That would be fun.

I'd preffer a multiplayer mod. Three teams - Combine soldiers, Resistance, and Headcrabs. Headcrabs try to hump Combine soldiers (harder, but the resulting zombie would be stronger) or Resistance members. Once headcrabbed the person is zombified. If the zombie isn't killed by a headshot, you once again control the headcrab. [/geeky][/drool]

Headcrabs whould have to have stealth abilites or a stupid amount of health for that to be fare, actualy. That's a good ideaiMMuNiTy said:

Black=stealth powers and the ability to kill as well as crab. Zombie spawns NPC crabs that can be thrown. Zombie is weaker than norm.
Fast=weak but fast. Zombie is fast but weaker than norm(but stonger than black)
Heacrabing would be a case of a botton bashing contest between the crab and man(with the crab having an advantage). Easier to crab resistance. Crab can be removed while crabing by a team-mate with crowbar/stun batton.

Ok, well this is what I heard, from some site. That aftermath, i just you playing as alyx in the hl2 storyline, I really doubt that is true....no reason why they would call it "aftermath". Don't flame me, im just telling you what i saw

You guys are reminding me of Game Network. It was crap at first, then good for a while and then they fired the presenters and now all they have is live game shows(the kind where you text in answers), Game Guru(a 3 hour show on cheat-codes, yes 3 HOURS!) and late night porn.

This whole Alyx thing started as a rumour on the internet I'm sure I read it somewhere very very early on with no facts to support it whatsoever, it's just spiraled out of control and everybody not quite in the loop thinks you will play as Alyx while I sit back and twiddle my thumbs.

rebroadcasting Nerd Nation.
And Morgan Webb also had nice things to say about Half Life 2, so
maybe you should actually bother to watch X-Play, as it is one of

Go to Gamespot and watch the trailer over and over.
Listen to the final voice.
The G-Man has some anger issues. Maybe he puts Gordon into stasis and then you play as Alyx but come back and finish as Gordon.
(I like X-Play, Sweat sucks, AOTS is decent, but i want TechTv again!)

God of War is overated in my opinion. It seems like Devil May Cry to me...
As much as FEAR will kickass. It won't be as good as HL2 for the simple fact that its poorly optimised, Which I feel is a huge drawback. It runs like shite on the best of machines.
Back on topic. I doubt that you play as Alyx considering it came from the horses mouth (VALVe's) that you only play as Gordon.

I'm actually back because I'll be getting a new laptop soon (Fujitsu-Siemens AMILO M 3438 if anyone is interested) and will be able to play HL2 again. It's been ****ed up on this computer for a while.
Also, the addon. Reminds me of the old HL2 speculation days.

If Screen Savers came back they would need the whole crew back. That means Leo, Patrick, Kevin, Foo, all of those people!...and good LAN party games would be good
Playing as Alex would be awful and ruin what Half Life stands for...Valve would never allow it ever!
I'm excited about this game but if this is bad in any way i'm slitting throats....

In Aftermath, you reprise the role of Gordon Freeman.
One of the things we're trying to do in this new episode is extend the NPCs' AI. So, as Freeman, you'll be operating alongside Alyx -- and accompanied by Dog -- for a majority of the adventure.
