Gamespot's goty is not a console title

all the PC fanboys just they hate gamespot(I hate the reviews the rest is fine)
and for that they start to say that are console orinted cuz they hate consoles too

EDIT: I will like to hav enoguh to pay WOW
cuz you hav to pay to play it right?

I think i'll be getting WoW. Will UK player get owned by having to pay over £10 per month?

Say the game's $13 per month for 6 months, will UK users only have to pay around £7 a month? If so, that rocks.

I dont think wow should be game of the year. Never agreed with gamestops reviews.

a ton of people are joining wow, i had a number of friends sign up recently, one after I gave my guest pass to from the collectors edition, and he totally loves it. I think hes a WoW addict now cause whenever i sign online he asks me "Want to play" ? lol He was an old school everquest player and hasnt really played much since then because of his setup, but wow runs pretty well on his computer so hes loving it. I could totally understand Gamespots decision for their GOTY.

Maybe they did it just to be contraversial? I hate people like that. Anyway, you'll never get me to get an MMORPG that you have to pay a monthly fee for. Guild Wars, however...

WOW is an amazing game, that i like a lot more that HL2. I was in all 3 US betas and spent almost 200 hours playing. It deserves GOTY without a doubt IMO.

watch the video... all the gamespot guys look SO SAD rofl :D

Find me a person that thinks WoW is less than an amazing game. People have this stereotype about MMORPG games and automatically assume its going to stupid and retarded.

Trust me, I played Halo 2, dabbled around with GTA:SA and WoW is still better. Both of those games are fun. Blizzard's game is unique because it takes a genre, strips all the elements out of the genre and only keeps/refines stuff that is immensely fun. Halo 2 and GTA:SA don't do that.

I think it is sad that people hate WoW more because of its genre than the game itself.

Your opinion is wrong. Simply because i KNOW you hate MMORPG's and you have'nt played WoW. Your 16 or 17...when you get old enough to afford real games you'll see how poorly made free MP games are.

WoW deserves it. Simple as that. Period.

They will try to find any little thing and flame it, comments like "Dont support carebear system, aka World of Warcraft" or "Graphics look childish" come up a lot by people who hate WoW but they have NEVER played the game.

For everyone complaining that gamespot is too much console oriented, well they gave the goty award to World of Warcraft.
I think this is usually a misconception on the fact that games on console platforms often achieve higher Gamespot ratings than PC games, particuarly highlighted with cross platform releases. Gamespot explain this away by saying that readers shouldn't compare ratings across platforms. One of the best ways of highlighting this is in the fact that Halo 2 was a 94% game and Half-Life 2 a 92% game, yet Half-Life 2 is their FPS GOTY.

WoW is for the casual gamer though, any hardcore gamer can get to the max level in a month. I heard of a few people who got it in 8 days, which is insane.

I don't like MMORPGs that use the equation Level+good skill choices=pawnage. I far more enjoy the ones that purley rely on quick thinking and wise tempory skill/spell selection. I like Guild Wars for this reason.

I've played WOW. It was pretty damn good, but I can't see myself playing it more than once or twice a fortnight.

I have never, ever played a RPG that "purely relies on quick thinking and wise temporary skill/spell selection". I have even played Guild Wars.
