my brother and i have been forbiden to drive to anywhere exept school and work...damn hurricanes

now is $1.14 a litre.

Get used to it, the prices are not going to go down for any significant period of time, it might go back down to under three dollars for 1-2 months if we are lucky, or unlucky considering how you look at it, but all in all, this is how gas prices are going to be, with a steady increase as the world's oil production goes into terminal decline.

So basically this is temporary, but we are just getting a taste of things to come in the kinda-far-off future if we don't start using alternative/hybrid resources?

what makes it worse is that im supposed to get my car sometime soon . DAMN YOU KATRINA!

Yeah, we're going to hit $3 sometime this week thanks to katrina.

But the Big Island and Maui have been at $3 for quite some time now, so I can only imagine what they're about to jump too.

Prices went up.. performance went from $2.99 to $3.09.

In Canada, I heard that there were talks throughout the public that they would start a boycott of certain retailers for certain days.

For example: No one would by gas from ESSO on Mondays. No one would by gas from Petrol Canada on Tuesdays. No one would by gas from Shell on Wednesdays, etc.
