WOW, can't wait for the PC version.
I love how good graphics now warrants the "intellectual-gamer-rant" no mater what.
Which means if anything 4 more years till a pc version :/
Pre-rendered FTW.
Epic said that they don't release pre-rendered stuff. Everything shown of Gears of War is in-engine.
People can lie.
Historically, yes, but times have changed. Unreal Championship games on the Xbox, and now UT2k7 is being developed simultaneously for consoles as well.Epic aren't Bungie. Epic are historically more PC focused anyway. I'd be suprised if it's anything more than a year.

It also doesn't make much sense for them to use the models in the first post for actual in-game stuff (i.e. the player avatar), they're overly detailed and will kill performance and for what!? When the player's shooting aliens they're not going to be caring much about individual hair strands on the player's head. Imagine how much work the renderer would have to do when you throw in explosions and weapon effects.
They'll have a toolbox of lower-detailed models for the game itself. Maybe only using the high-res ones for cutscenes.

I misunderstood, I was thinking like, the shots were taken while some dude was actually playing the game, not just made with the engine. Although that still doesn't count much for how the game will actually look.
And I am NOT ftl :frown:
Not everybody has jesus in a computer case to play this game :/
Times change and this game was BUILT from the ground up for the 360. If anything it at least has to be a few years. I am differently not waiting any more then 10 mins on release. Yes ill be on that line...
Yeah they can. However, having seen it in motion, those screenshots are in-game.
QFToHHHHHH shit
I know i keep saying this but this is going to look AWSOME on my 60" LCD HDTV OHH YEAH!.
I would like to see that model moving with an acceptable (doesn't have to be perfect) framerate. That's my biggest concern, that the X360 will have to cheat in movement and distance to maintain fps calmness when all hell breaks loose.
