Get to know one another!

..? I suck at humor because I can't find any clues toward that statement being a joke or sarcastic? I'd appreciate if you pointed out one of the hints because it just seemed like a typo to me which made the whole thing humorous so I pointed it out.
No need to be mean either.

It was a joke, he was referring to how this thread feels like the beginning of an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, silly :p

And no one's being mean! Shaker was just layin' down some lovin'.
To appease you I will click on the isotown link in your sig.

APRIL FOOLS I WAS ACTUALLY KIDDING YOU ALL AAHAHAHAh~!!2

;(

Felt like elaborating upon earlier post...

(edit - whoa... yeah, got carried away :p)

My name's Caz, I'm 20, and I live at home with my family in a small town somewhere in the lower north island of New Zealand, and have done for the greater part of my life. I had a happy childhood, and enjoyed school for the most part, until I got into high school which ****ed me up pretty good :)

I left in sixth form due to some pretty severe depression/anxiety issues and have been dealing with the after-effects pretty much ever since. I'm still wrestling with some kind of anxiety disorder/condition which prevents me from being able to go out comfortably, unless it's with someone I trust or it's to somewhere I know. So most days are spent at home, taking care of chores and sitting here or at the TV (or playing my drumset :)).

What's keeping me sane at the moment - a loving and understanding family (atleast my parents, anyway), a couple friends who don't mind stopping out to keep me company and just shoot the shit, and a girl from Aussie who I'm planning on meeting up with in the near-ish future (which is helping me get motivated to sort myself out).

Future aspirations - finish high school, get a driver's license and get back into some kind of education/work situation. Oh, and join a band :)

Wouldn't you rather be ALIVE and have a Taeguek Medal?

^_-

My name is David, I'm 19(My birthday was less than a week ago), I currently live in New Orleans and have lived there for a large part of my life. I'm going to college, and occasionally doing home construction/repair.

Pfft, I hadn't played in months and you were still hardly better than me. :p

my name is jimmy. I'm 26 and a md/phd student. I just finished my first year of medical school. completely loved it. named my cadaver, "Chief", cause he looked like an american-indian. I attend school in a west texas town. We can get dust storms, hail, and tornadoes.

I'm into indie music. I enjoy reading (currently reading "The Man in the High Castle" by Philip K Dick - thanks DeusExMachina) when i'm not in school. I enjoy hanging out with my barista friends at starbucks, sipping on an americano(espresso with water).

oh, btw, i love soccer(football) and am trying to watch all the WC games that i can. I have to work in a lab this summer and frequently take an early lunch to catch parts of the games. I also play soccer. Scored about 15 goals this semester (indoor + outdoor).

My name is Dan. I'm 19 at the end of August and i started my Film & Television course at Swinburne Prahran this year. Its pretty kickass. We get to talk about movies in class and when we're not in the process of making them we talk and even now and then somebody plays Super Mario Bros 3 on the computers at TAFE.

I'm currently swamped with work due largely to communication breakdowns. I thought i was going overseas for these current holidays, to the USA, but unfortunately due to my bone disorder and evil insurance companies i couldn't go. As i was still trying in vain to organise insurance for the trip, i went ahead and organised extensions for all my projects. I got permission for extensions on them all but because i only organised them verbally all but two of my teachers forgot and now i'm swamped.

If i had been able to go, even without extensions it would still have been worth it. My aunt is a sound editor in hollywood and was organising two trips out to two different big name studios to show me what she does for a living :(. The offer still stands though, but now all i have to do is get insurance, and so far no one in Australia is able to cover me.

So to sum it up, insurance companies suck.

As for my hobbies and what not, i play drums, pretty good too, draw (mostly been sketching buildings and environments in class) and i do some 3d animation when i have the time to.

I think the band Thursday is ****ing awesome, and i'm currently listening to Moneen's new album. Sufjan Stevens is also the greatest unsung hero of the music industry at the moment. Honourable mentions to that guy from Brian-Jonestown Massacre.

I'd own you both bigtime. I was 4th of holland, 12th of the world. I could've gone further if I didn't get a new internet connection so I could play css again D:

Edit: I'm Daan, I live in Holland. I'm 17 and I'm an experienced and talented gamer. I have one older brother (who is really cool) and a younger sister. I have a game-hating mom, and a gamer dad. I love everything that has to do with speakers and sound and I build my own speakers (only subwoofers so far). I have a job (morning paper) and I'm saving for a new pc. I plan to buy it at the end of this year. Girls and other social contacts are not in my field of expertise and I avoid them if possible.

Wtf is Trackmania Nations? >
Online arcade racing game. Which was awesome for the time being. I played it for about 2 weeks after it came out. Never played it since.

Online, pff, most of the game is all the stuff you can do in singleplayer.

Adrian. 17. Vancouver Island, BC, Cananananada. Like pie.

Name's Matt and I'm 18 years young. Currently reside in Penns Grove, New Jersey and am loving every minute of unemployment. I am also a HL2DM fanatic, a Sopranos zealot, a movie enthusiast, and I enjoy a broad range of music.

My name's Stefan, i'm 16 living in Kew/Melbourne/Aus. I'd love work as either a teacher or a diplomat {but i've rarely ever on the Politics section - go figure?}. As i'm an writer at heart i dream of setting up either a publishing company or a small bookstore.

I'm still at school - private! - and love playing field hockey {back / half}, just bumming out with mates and the listening to Metal and basicly anything i come in contact with. I've been gaming for ever since i first played the first C+C at while being babysat across the road from my house. Been saving alot of money so i can go hiking in the foothills of the Himal {India} at the end of the year, by sweating over a pizza oven!

It's strange to see how much we range - HL2.net, a sample of the world!

I dream of sailing the seas with a red bandana and huge gold earings in my ears and nose. I will fight back the valiantly stupid human pirates, fighting their steel cutlass swords and brown mustaches. Marching in formation against the proud and haughty warriors of the Alliance, I stake my claim in my heritage and my tribe, swinging my axe into the flesh and armor of my enemy!

Name's Johan.
Just got 21.
I live in Sweden in a town called Holmsund, it's close to a more known town, (to sweeds at least) called Umeå.

Spend most of my time with the computer. I mostly play games and surf on the internet while chatting on IRC. I occationally watch movies, and series.

Been a while since I first got me my own new computer now. At first, I was really interested in FPS games like AvP2 and Half-Life, of course that made me like Half-Life 2 alot and thus ending up on this fine forum. :p

In later days my interests have slightly changed though. Nowadays I like to play RPG games like the Final Fantasy series and games like Diablo 2 and Sacred. There are also some strategy games I'm really fond of.

My current interest lies deep with shoot em up games or SHMUPS (not to be confused with FPS).

The reason is probably due to me watching this.

Currently, I wish to buy a PS2 and chip it so I can play some imported japanese SHMUP games.

Any room for Richard. B Ridick, aka Simon the Carpenter, who also defeat all man?

Would both of you just take your computers out to the nearest field and kick the shit out of them?

What Tr0n means by that is "I'm justin, I live in alabama, and I think Ennui is a sexy mother****er".

Ahh, every forum needs a grouchy redneck.

Watch this!

Tr0n, you SUCK at Soldat.

I'm gonna do a fancy long one now, mine was a little short:

I'm Harry, 18 and a student. Presently working as a freelance wireless engineer, it's good work when I get it, but often barely funds my lifestyle.
I'm an expert at getting exactly what I want from banks, and often people too.

I'm friendly and personable, confident and prone to occasional arrogance - that's my main flaw.

I like to drink, have fun and enjoy myself.. I like to organise nights out too. I love indie music, and I'm presently loving the world of indie disco. Hurrah!

I also hope one day to be gigging with my band :E

My name's Devin, I currently reside in Sudbury, Ontario (a city 1290 times larger then London and more then double Greater London in area and the 20th most populated city in Canada, with 155,219 citizens).

Most people do not correctly guess my age but I have been 16 since Feb. 21. I am an Atheist, Antitheist, Nihilist and somewhat Transhumanist. I am also an INTJ in a Myers-Briggs personality test.

I have been building, repairing and selling computers for nearly 5 years now and plan to create an official business and open up a store somewhere in Canada.

Philosophy, music, electronics and biking are my other hobbies.
