Getting more RAM

I'm planning to upgrade from 512 ram to 1gb, can anyone tell me the best brand to buy and the best place to buy it?

The best bet would be to buy exactly the same kind as what you already have. There's more chance for problems if you mix two different sizes of RAM sticks (like 256 and 512mb) or different brands.

Unless you want to buy two new RAM sticks... it all depends on whether you want something better than the one you have or not. If not, just buy another of the same.
