Thanksgiving, moved cities, Christamas, Topless bars, and without having anything new in terms of hl2 and the SDK I've put this site on the back burner. Which has seriosly dampened my zeal todo a HL2 based mod.

Ah, but conversely, we the staff must be making the right decisions in the first place to be attracting such a large community. What i'm saying in this situation is that while the community input is welcomed, it is not necessarily the deciding factor about what should happen in this situation. You guys don't quite posess the full story, so you can't really make a totally valid judgement.

Know what else I dont like/annoys me? When people use smilies ))in the middle or the end of a negative sentence. Its like your backing down from your opinion, say what you want and dont be afriad of what people say.

Hmm you are 90% right: For fact hl2.net got 12600 Members and out of that number only 150 are using the forums to keep the site alive.

BTW I wouldn't want to be a mod on this forum, I would have to be much less opinionated, my daily post count would be cut in half. I would only consider it if the forum was going to shit... I didn't mean to sound arogant if thats what your thinking, which is another thing a mod should not be.

It wasn't quite a civil war...just a minor revolt.

The real war will come when we finaly cleanse the forum of all the un...woah, this avatar is getting to me.

It would be somewhat indecent for the "full story" to be posted on public boards for all to read. I will say one thing though; unfortunately you didn't have to be Mystic Meg to predict the future happenings of this particular case.

Whats the point of keeping somone a mod if they never visit? and if you want examples look at the coolest mod thread, I know some of the people on the staff are contributeing to HL2.net but not the forums however some of the people on that list I had never seen make a single post before and they can't all have some other purpose.

I don't know why but it just gets on my nerves, also I can't help but get the feeling that there was some tension between GV and another member of staff that might have something to do with this.

While I'm at it I might as well say that i thought GV's post was quite amuseing and made a good point, it's rare you see something quite as volatile being writen on this forum, it shows what people are really thinking , even if it is a little over exagerated.
