I think its about time valve gave us the Incredible game, or a release date for this year! Come on people we need this game SOOO badly. I know you guys are probably workin on this game non-stop, BUT PLEASE HURRY AND BRING IT TO ME BEFORE CHRISTMAS ! ! ! ! I AM BEGGIN YOU!

Valve is working on it, and they'll finish when they finish. It's not good to rush through it and have a bad game.
 
I have been for 2 and a half-life months, see i am already talking in hl2 talk. lol
 
I HL2 while HL2ing, because HL2 HL2s. If they can HL2, then I will be totally HL2d.

yah, valve better at least bring back the feel that used to be in the air about hl2, all enthusiam has all but dropped
 
I have to agree... though the words might not be mine, gamblor's post perfectly sums up my feelings on hl2. please please please valve give us the best chrismas surprise ever. :)

like most people, i just come here once a day or so to see if there's any news. inevitably, there never is. I strongly doubt a christmas release is likely, but maybe they can give us a christmas benchmark, or a christmas SDK. maybe even just a christmas trailer? christmas screenshots?

<sigh>

i used to go to sleep thinking about hl2. now that's long gone.

Only 2 and half months? haha Most of us have been waiting since april buddy or since half-life was released.

yes, if valve releases it now after 5 years of work, its going to be so bad compared to releasing it in like 4 or 5 months......HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, thats comedic gold. The only thing waiting to release it will do is piss me off, give the competition more time to catch up, and miss the golden christmas shopping season....nice work guys. Oh, and would it kill valve to TELL US ANYTHING AT ALL IN ANY WAY??, say, like, i dunno, ****ing anything, any news or something? god damn gabe, say something

I really really want something to do with HL2 for Christmas. And I dont mean a preorder :p


It would be fantastic if they released a barrage of media on christmass day!!! :p


Would be beter if they released the game like.

Developers sometimes give christmas presents, such as maps and stuff. Hope we'll get new bink material, even if it's the old movies, I'll still be happy. :)

I agree with all that valve should release some new material at least. I joined in september, and I have seen the attitude on these forums go from excitement to enthusiasm to desire to annoyance to desperation! If HL2 had been released september 30th there would have been a load of posts saying: 'Oh my god! It's SO cool! I can't believe it!'. If it was released now we would have: 'FINALLY. Could they have waited any longer?'. This forum really needs some new material to pick apart, even just some news from valve, or a proper interview. Nevertheless, the game WILL still rock whenever its released, but some waiting increases the anticipation, a lot of waiting is just annoying.
 
I think Valve pretty much set in stone that its not coming out this year. They probably don't want to have two of their own games compete with one another (HL2 and CZ). I suppose April it is, or whenever. *sigh*

This time I should arrange a tour at a time of day when most employees aren't on their lunch break. Say, perhaps, 2 am? Think that's when they really break out the super secret proprietary game making technology?
 
If devs released games when people said: Give us teh game! And they released demos when people said: Give us teh demo! Then a) HL2 and Duke Nukem Forever would currently be battling it out for top spot on the game charts and b) I would so be playing the UT2K4 Demo right now. Come on Epic....

Anyway: Yeah, so no amount of pleading is gonna get the game released. It's like I said before: Be patient, trust in Valve and get ready for... stuff. Yeah.
 
Heh no problem. All the HL2.net members should raid VALVe wearing combine suits and carrying PDW's.:cheers:
 
You could go in there with a crowbar, kill the security guy at the door for his oh so important pistol. Then you can round up the developers to open the various locked doors for you! You'll need them for the retinal scanners and to break the encryptions on the game. Now while they're breaking the encryption on the game you have to make sure to watch out for enemys, cause that's when they're likely to apear to try to kill you and the developer. And if they kill the developer then your mission is failed, and HL2 is lost forever.

If you did all that i think that they'd let you off the threatening and burglary charges because they'll apreciate the delicious irony.
 
/is waiting patiently, and thanks Valve for their hard work on what will be my favourite game of all time, and thanks them for the additional time to save for computer upgrades.
 
/me hopes that the money doesn't rain down in coin form. The property damage would be incredible.

This type of thread is always in here.. but I'll comment on it again...

My HL2 excitement has gone. It's not even my top wanted game any more. It would've been nice for it to come out when it'd be unrivaled in terms of graphics, physics, gameplay, AI and everything else. Now it will be a LOT less amazing to everyone since other games are being released with stuff as good as or better than HL2's features.
 
Amish people shouldn't have opinions on technological goods (see: games)!

I still say.. people who say "omg hl2 is teh ded 2 me" will be the first in line to buy it once it goes gold (not that that made alot of sense, but it's late.. lol)
