But seriously this is a joke, right? I know that most christians are against a gay lifestyle... but God damn, if this is not a joke, the people who say "God hates fags" need to learn what tolerance, understanding, and forgiveness means.

Oscar Wilde, my hero, was a reformed homosexual. He went to prison for his sins. Once he was alone with his thouhgts, in jail, he saw the errors of his ways and repented. He died as a Christian. While I'm not advocating jailing all Homosexuals, I do think it would benefit them greatly. It would be for their own good. When a person is forced to think they will generally be able to see their problems and solve them by themselves.

I think this is supposed to be humurous, especailly since he looks rather gay and talks about having gay feelings.

Anyway, if you read the bible, I don't know how you can come to any conclusion BUT that got hates homosexuals. It's written in there quite clearly numerous times. The only people who thing otherwise are those who don't know the bible and/or believe christianity is politically correct.

Assuming the Bible is true (for the purpose of discussion) homosexuals will go to hell.
 
Well, if what you are saying is true, then Christianity has a book that is a hypocrite *GASP* SUPRISE!!! In the book, it says in a sense, that God hates NOBODY. Then to turn and say God hates fags is just preposterous. He may dislike the idea, but why would he hate them when he says he loves everybody? **** that religion and it's loop holes.

And where does it say God hates nobody? All these ridiculous misconceptions about the bible make baby Jesus cry (no offense to you CyberPitz, it's just the general misconceptions about Christianity). People try to conform (or pretend) Christianity to political correctness, perhaps even Buddhism. I guess they're trying to make Christianity more "acceptable" to modern society.

Here’s something to twist your brain around...
If you think about it, Political Correctness is nearly (not quite, but close) a religion itself. It has "rights" and "wrongs" and tells people how to live, and people accept its tenants to feel better about themselves. It even harshly shuns those who do not follow it's tenants/rules/laws. there's more but I don't feel like writing pages about it.

I know it sounds crazy, but if you think about it long enough and look around you'll see what I mean. It's actually quite funny at times when . . . like when you see people arguing about politically correct issues like a couple people debating church doctrine.

Maybe he is wrong? Hate is a strong word, and its known that God hates SIN, but we are not SIN itself, we are SINful, but at the same time this God who hates SIN sent his only son to suffer and die on this earth for us? If God indeed hates fags, then I am sure it would have been stated in the bible that, unless you are a ******, you can recieve eternal life. God loves us and begs us to give up our sins and be forgiven, but if we dont accept his forgiveness, then there is a darkness that follows.

Not saying that I totally understand this one way or the other, and I have known a couple people who are Homosexuals but who also believe themselves to be followers of Christ... I dont know wether this is acceptable to God or not, but I'm going to leave it between them and God and I am not going to be the one who judges that.

Probably because I think you were the first person in this thread to admit to the existance of god.

I do agree, that people believing that the whole religion being just a bend to their will type thing, they make a mistake, say sorry, all better...that's just dumb. But if I'm not mistaken, I remember seeing it interperated in many ways that God loves everybody. I don't remember it saying, "God hates sinners". I mean, for gods sake *muawha puns rule* he sent his only son to Earth to DIE for us. Homosexuality existed then, and I never saw anything about him sending his son down to die for our sins, EXCEPT for the gays.

This entire post is only relavent if God does indeed exist...
 
Discrimination against homosexuality makes absolutley no sense without the blinding filter of religion to pass it through. A christian might accept homosexuality and for instance, love the person, hate the sin; because according to that lovely little ancient scrap of paper called the bible, homosexuality is very clearly defined as a sin. A sin like stealing, killing and eating pork.

Without religion, homosexuality is not a sin at all, and there is no problem. Thus you'd better bet most homosexual discrimination is a direct product of religion, and that being "christlike" will not give these people justice, it will simply attempt to "cure" them of a "disease" they do not have, and make them "repent" for a sin that hurts nobody.
