Too busy to raise your own score? Now you can pay someone else to do it

Tired of playing videogames to completion so you can squeak out an extra 20 Gamer Points to edge ahead of your friends? Well, if your GamerScore matters that much to you, it might be time to look into Levelmy360, a new pay-for-points service that's just opened up the gates. Now, whether those are the gates to heaven or hell... well still up in the air.

The site claims that the team behind Levelmy360 they're a crew of "powerleveling veterans" and you can purchase points in 500, 750, 1000, 1500, 2000, and 3000 denominations. However, the more points you want, the more cash you have to be willing to part with. The low end service, 500 points, costs $39.99, while 3000 points will run interested parties $299.99.

I dont know what's worse, the fact that this exists or that there's people who would pay to use the service

"The site claims that the team behind Levelmy360 they're a crew of 'powerleveling veterans'"

It's a website. Thus, I can say with absolute certainty that this is a hoax.

regardless if they actually deliver points or not, it's still a scam

I've never heard of anything more pointless.

haha
I don't think it would have an impact on the community in the same way as gold farming. But would they not need your account to raise your points? If so that would put the player's account at risk. At least with buying gold you just open a trade window. (I disapprove of buying gold). Both are dumb and a waste.

they explain that you have to grant them access of your account and to change your password immediately after they give you points

Everyone, find one of the really dumb people you hate that has a 360, call him your friend, and show him this!

Points mean nothing to me anyway. OK, so you've got lots of points. You've played lots of games! So what!

I think points should be calculated dynamically based on the number of games you have, the time spent playing those games, and the number of achievements unlocked in each game.

Any idiot can buy a huge stack of games, spend 10 minutes playing each, and amass a few thousand gamer points - where as someone else may just have one game, become an absolute expert at that game, yet only be able to gain 1000 gamer points from it. It's really not an indicator of skill at all.

Hahaha! Very true. What a pathetic bunch....

Yeah look at the bottom of their page. "verisign secure" then in tiny little letters "click to verify". You can't even click it because its not even a link! Also the page isn't secure, or it would be https:// . Pretty pathetic/stupid attempt at a scam, the only thing more pathetic/stupid would be someone who actually paid for it.

Are gamer points actually used for anything, or is it just e-penis in its purest form?

ePenis i'm afraid. Individual gamerpoints per game are useful for seeing how far along someone is in a particular game, though.

I think the whole gamerpoint system was invented to make gamers want to go out and buy as many games as possible, just to boost their scores. Even games in bargain bins they wouldnt normally buy. It's good marketing by Microsoft, but personally I couldnt give a monkeys how low or high my own or other peoples gamerscores are.

haha that's a great idea, I hope hundreds of idiots pay for it.

I think achievements/gamerpoints are pretty damn cool, but yeah... kinda takes the "achievement" out of it when you gotta pay someone :P
