Good books...

Also, quick side note for anyone making recommendations to me, I prefer long series of books, or long (Very long) books. I hate getting involved in a storyline/universe that cuts off at 300 pages.
You must read Tad Williams. Both of his epic series, Memory, Sorrow and Thorn and Otherland are excellent. His storylines are complex and involved and you'll really care about his characters. MS&T are fantasy and Otherland is... well, I guess you could say scifi. My only warning is that he is a little slow to start in both series, but it is definitely worth it.

Martin's Game of Thrones is excellent as well. I'm looking forward to rereading the series when he comes out with the next book. Waiting...waiting...

Angels and Demons is edging towards Sci-Fi. I'll let you know what its like.

It more of a Religous/Crime/Sci-Fi to be more precised
I don't like Dan Brown's style of writing. The stories are gripping but the quality of the writing simply doesn't seem up to standard.

After reading 2 Dan Brown books, they get predictable. After reading the Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons, I can usually predict everything that happens next.

By the way, I did like Angels and Demons. Better than the Da Vinci Code, in my opinion.

Heh, 1984 followed by Tom Clancy? Very po-mo, I must say.
Why ? Tom Clancy and George Orwel are my favourite writers, I accept these authors have very different books but I like this authors...

Are you talking about Dan Brown or Dale Brown?

I've just read A&D from Dan Brown, and its easy to follow, but at the same time, complex.

Dale Brown, on the other hand, is the person who creates the Dreamland Novels, and even simpler to read due to the Gung-ho nature of the books

Me too!

1984 and animal farm are good reads, and I like Tom Clancy's books too.

Macbeth
Hamlet
Othello
Romeo and Juliet
ect..

Read some william shakespeare books (ok technically they are plays), only things I can think of ATM.

I wasn't saying anything against Clancy, I just thought it was an interesting juxtaposition of titles...

I'm now reading a trilagy called The Wheel of Time. It's fantasy and I quite like it.
Terry Pratchet is brilliant.

I would suggest "The War of the Worlds"... by H.G. Wells... and make sure you read it before the new movie comes out. I also second Ender's Game, 1984 and the Hitchhiker's guide...all great books

It's not exactly sci-fi when the technology exists (antimatter and the CERN labs) but I see what you're saying.

Dan Brown definitely does have a general path his stories take...but they still kick ass in my book.

For a person that likes Dan Brown books a lot, what do you think I should read?

Dan Brown is brilliant, when is the book he's writing expected to be finished?

The Godfather
Timeline (or anything by Crichton...sp?)

hmm, oh nothing by Shakespeare.
