Gordon has changed

Has anybody noticed how different Gordon looks in comparison to HL and HL2. Below is the list of differences:

HL (Loading Screen)

Hair: Greasy, Ginger
Facial Expression: Boring, Laid Back
HEV: Control Panel on chest armor

HL2 concept art (Gordon clutching a spore grenade, with alyx behind him)

Hair: Darker, Styled (slightly spikey)
Facial Expression: Starting to pull faces like the Gman, looks serious
HEV: Missing control panel from chest plating

I actually think he looks better in the HL2 art

The concept art was on PCZONE back a few months ago, but I can't find it on the net

If anybody can spot any new differences, please point them out

Hmm, maybe because it is 15 years later and he has been fighting these damn aliens and combine and ahh!

His hair is just wet in that pic I guess.

But the missing control panel is interesting...

Either that, or he couldn't breathe properly

And you cant just remove a control panel, it isn't just there for decoration. :)

And he made it through all of hl1 with it on...
 
I'm partial to the concept art of Gordon with that tentacle wrapped around his neck while he was running through the water. That was pretty cool. Maybe when part of the HL Bible is released, they will also include all of the original concept art for HL2, whether it was included or not, it would certainly be interesting.

Theres something like 1000 words, or a 1000 pages on the history, background, and the plot of the HL universe that Marc Laidlaw made for valve, to make it easier to make prequals, sequals, and spin-off character expansion packs

Gordon looks kickass in the hl loading screen.
 
A word to the HEV:
It's the new enhanced HEV Mark V :D
After the Game has a technical upgrade, the suit needed it too ;)
 
10 years in a train stasis you wont look well.

I think its strange that after 10 years he looks younger than when he started in HL1...

They actually do mention that Gina Cross (The hazard course woman) was working on testing a Mk. V suit in the manual to Decay.

Could that be a symbol of things to come?

Seriously, I like the new Gordon, he seems more like a level-headed badass who has a lot on his mind. Conveys the realism of the subject matter (or something)...

Bottom Line: He looks more badass.

In Redemption, which was a single player mod that (if I'm not mistaken) was sold as an expansion pack by Valve, Gordon used an HEV Mk. 6. It was no different from the Mk. 4, however.

Well isnt the definition of statis that you are pretty much frozen, so he would look the same.

From what ive gathered Gorden will feel like hes just stepped into the light at the end of the first one, and will wake up at the start of HL2. It will have felt like 2 seconds ago he was on the train, and now hes waking up aparently 10 years later.

I remember that. It was bundled in on the CS retail disk along with a few others (Wanted was fun). Don't think it was official though...

The PC Zone cover art looked very cool, but the PC Gamer cover... Gordon's hair looked a little too feathery.

Everything else good though.

Anyone think there are more than one artists who draw these Gordon pieces?
 
He looks awesome in the HL2 artwork, they have put more emphasis on his action role, rather than moody still shots. That image with the tentacle around his neck is fantastic.

In hl1 gordon was a mild mannered reporter from black mesa....

In HL2 gordon is a mushroom cloud lay'n muthfuka muthafuka!
