I think for the first ever I'll get the xbox360 version ..as good as the pc versions are I think overall it's probably more suited to a console
never modded any of the gta games ...wanted to finish them first ..which I neer did anyways ..some of the driving/shooting missions in the previous games were kind of wonky on the pc so this time around I'm probably going for the console version

Our work is done here.
*slowly backs away into the shadows*
People who play on PC often(such as myself), use controllers when they play on the PC. I will be using my xbox 360 controller, and if I can't find drivers that work properly for the wireless version by the time it's released, I'll get a wired version which has full functionality as it does on the xbox 360, so I will be able to drive exactly as I do on the console version.
That's what I've done with the other ones... I had my ps2 controller plugged into the PC and on my lap. Every time I was in a vehicle I would use the controller, and on foot I'd use mouse and keyboard.
Worked very well.
Now you can finally feel what it's like to be wanted.Who cares about being the first to finish it?? I want to be the one with the highest wanted level for the longest!!! F_ck the plot!!

I find myself wishing I had a nice TV and console more and more these days... too much money, though (TV would probably be more than the console, even a smaller one)! Plus it seems like the 360 has been out forever now; I'd hate to join the party so late in the game, heh.
an EB Games rep told me that the special edition came with 10 hours of extra gameplay
can anyone confirm this?! cause it sounds like BS to me
The 360 is essentially a PC running DirectX and Windows, you know.
So you're telling me I'll be able to run GTAIV with a GPU that has only 10mb eDRAM and a total of 512MB RAM shared for all purposes on the system, all this on a PC?The 360 is essentially a PC running DirectX and Windows, you know.
Console, imo, has always handled the GTAs better than PC controls. It's still fine and dandy to control the game with a mouse and keyboard, but certain games feel more... "right" with a pad, like fighting and racing games.
I never said your computer had the exact same specs as a 360, I'm saying the 360 is more similar to a PC than it is to a PS3.
The only reason I won't play GTA on consoles is because I find auto-aim annoying and not as satisfactory as getting a headshot with mouse aiming. Manual aim sounds pretty awkward on the console, too.
Pleaseplease Mr.Moraan, let's not turn this into a fanboyfight!Seconded. A 360 is a future locked PC.
They were perfect, and they better not change them for this game. Rotatable camera FTW.The default PC controls for SA were awful, you basically needed three hands. I used a gamepad.
