Half-Life 2: Aftermath Teaser Released

0mgzur!!!! Now all the hype of HL2 really comes back to me.
 
Maybe G-Man is pissed because you somehow escaped from him to help the rebels.
 
The hype is boiling inside me. Wow. CANT WAIT!
 
I know itll be awesome, but im afraid itll be too damn short :(
How long did it take for you guys to complete HL2, only 2 days for me and guess I played around 7 hours a day but still thats very short compared to HL which took atleast 5 days for me. Just hoping VALVe can make something longer than HL2 this time :)

But then again, HL2 was really the best game ive ever experienced, even the best looking one. VALVe is just great
 
Ok, i listened to the whole "We will see about that" a few time, i'm not convinced its the G-Man...but i do believe it's someone like the G-man.

And on G4 they said you'd play as Gordon AND Alex...when i heard this i was aww wtf? thats not right...

They said AM would be able 2/3 as long...or last i heard(Correct me if i'm wrong)
 
looks cool.

I hope that valve take a note of FEAR and actually include things like feet and legs on the player body. I'm sick of the floating arms.

2/3 * length of HL2
There is no combination of the two that makes any difference :p

*possible slight spoiler*

You play as Gordon, with Alyx and occasionally Dog as a sidekick(s). Alyx will reak havoc with her Alyxgun. But they will still be NPC:s eg you not controlling them directly but I think you might issue some commands.

It's definitely the Gman. He's just exhibiting a bit more emotion than we're used to hearing. And he does sound very pissed! :eek:
 
any mirrors besides this ****ed up gamespot. god, i hate it. i just want to see this little tiny teaser, nothing more. why not make it "gamespot complete" only. good idea, eh? *rolls eyes*... :flame:
 
alyx needs some more clothes, don't those ones ever get smelly
 
Woah the G-Man sounded awesome! Oh wow, wow.. I can't wait! :D This is like HL2 all over again... :E

Any one notice that the Stalkers look like they have new models? It looks like they have eye-holes in their 'blinkers' now. Well, Valve did need to fix them if you fight them now I guess. Give them a rag-doll and make that laser come from somewhere

It didn't sound like either to me. New character maybe? A new villian (sp) to replace Breen perhaps?

Ok, lets get this straightened out for everyone.

You play as Gordan but Alyx will be playing a really big role, and this expansion will reveal details about her past. Valve has said this, so its true.

Now anyways, its looks like the plot is going to be heading towards the dark side. This expansion and then any future expansions or Half-Life 3 will be very interesting.

think about it guys......when the G-man says "We'll see about that"........that is an answer to a statement, and the G-man only appears to Gordon(as far as we know)

Does this mean we will hear gordon talk?

It could also be response to an action Gordon has done, IE, Gordon does blah blah and G-Man says to him, "Did you really think you could get away with blah blah? Well, we'll see about that!" See? Gordon still doesn't need to talk.
 
idk.........i still think u will hear something outta him..........or maybe the G-man will appear to someone else!!!! But they're still needs to be talking to issue that response
 
the way it was stated as well ooo Gman sounds pissed i think that will be early in the game too that "we will see .. about that!" cause Gman took gordon again maybe gordon figures out a way to return back to the citidel to save alyx... and then in my dream world alyx becomes real and comes over to my place to thank me for saving her .. personally ...
 
With regards to Alyx, I'm banking on Valve pulling off some really special AI type things for Aftermath. This expansion has a very good chance of a critical drumming because of potential feelings that it is the end we should have got to the main game; a revolutionary approach to sidekick characters would silence the nay-sayers...

We'll never hear from Gordon, because then he isn't YOU, he's distanced as someone else. Just accept it.

Hype for this trailor drumming up already, i can feel it. I love the way Alyx owns that antlion, stamp on its head then a shot in the back of the head, AVE IT. Actually looking forward to this now.

And it's G-Man in the end of the trailer saying "We'll see about that!" - don't know how can some of you have doubts about that, would recognize his voice anywhere and anytime ;) And yeah, he sounds VERY pissed, something must have happened not exactly the way he wanted to.
Maybe Gordon was supposed to be put into stasis (or whatever it's called like) by G-Man, but somehow he got out of it? Maybe thanks to Dog (we see it in the trailer, he finds Gordon)?

Lots of questions come to my head. I bet lots of questions will arrive after playing Aftermath, and these questions shall remain unaswered. I love this game! ;)

By the way - I love the moment in the trailer, when Alyx speaks about Stalkers. Like, wow :|

Valve has previously stated that Aftermath will be 1/3 as long as the original game thus, it will not be longer than HL2 itself (why would you think this anyway?)

On closer inspection, the rubble bit probably doesn't start the game - that cannot be rubble from the citadel because:

a) The citadel is made of exotic metals, not the concrete of City 17's buildings, and
b) the rest of the citadel scenes seem to show very little in the way of structural damage.

it's probably just the end of a bit where you and Alyx become seperated, later in the game. Besides, I strongly dislike the whole "Gordon escapes from nothingness!" idea. G-Man's dialogue is most likely a response to someone else's dialogue, perhaps it ends the game just as "Maybe we still have / Time Doctor Freeman?" ended the main game?

I sure hope aftermath isn't the only expansion they're going to give us, but i'm still hyped to play it!
 
I, honestly, do not want to hear Gordan talk. Once he speaks a word, the whole game will be ruined. I know VALVe will higher some cheesy voice actor or even Morgan Freeman to play the part, but no matter what it will sound terrible and definetly be out of place.

Although, Will Smith would be a great Gordon Freeman. :)
 
Your point? They have black actors play white men's voices. Plus, how do you know Gordan Freeman isn't really a MorGan Freeman? He could have a black man's voice for all you know. He could even sound like an eskimo! Or maybe he is going to sound like a really skinny white nerd! You know the type I am talking about. The ones that have black taped glasses and wear suspenders.
