Half-Life 2: Aftermath Teaser Released

Well Morgan freeman does have a pretty good voice, but i think will smith is out of the question... Thats like carrot top playing g-man

Meh.. I doubt they will let Mister Freeman talk. I don't want him to chat up the place.. It will definetly lose his mysteriousness...
 
I got the impression that the voice at the end saying, "we'll see about that" was in response to Alyx's, "Don't worry".

Also, i think that the voice at the end of the teaser is that of Dr Breen. Before Breen gets to the teleporter, we see him talking to a 'Combine Advisor' and we hear him say something like "...i cant possibly survive in such an environment..." and then "...a host body? i guess i dont have much of a choice..."

So I think the voice at the end is Dr Breen in a host body, not Gman, as he is way too cool to get angry.

The only way Breen could get access to a host body would be if he actually made it to the portal which he didn't.
 
dammit, a pissed GMAN is NOT good, if he can stop time.. err, what can't he do to Gordon. This is gonna be rough.
 
Awesome trailer! And the voice in the end is the G-man without a doubt.
Now let the hunt for the hires begin!

Or we just wait for the BINK...
 
Breen is dead............no further discussion.........it is the G-man who said that.
And why shouldnt they make Gordon talk now? They already ruined the experience by having us play some parts as alyx.........not that im complaining, im just making a statement

Well yes, in the context of the teaser trailer it's constructed as a response to Alyx's "Don't worry". In the actual game, it's usage will likely be vastly different, if indeed it's used at all (it's intention may have been just for the trailer alone, however, the "specialness" of the anger in the voice suggests to me that it's going to be used in-game.)

i dont wanna hear Gordon talk anymore than u guys do.......but its not our choice, its Valve's, but they have never made a bad choice except for *COUGH* EA!!!!!! *COUGH*
so im sure that response is to alyx.......since she is with you almost all the time now, the G-man has no choice but to appear to her also, so she could do all the talking

I think it would be cool if the G-Man actually was Dr. Breen, testing you at the end of HL2 to see what you got.
He must be pissed the fact you managed to get away from him instead of waiting for HL3.

It's a possibility. But that is a really neat trailer. But more like a freakin' teaser. :hmph: I think it's cool the way Alyx handled those Antlions. :cool:

No - Aftermath will not be free. You will have to purchase it just like any other exapnsion. You're confusing it with "Lost Coast" which will be free and available over Steam.
 
MOV format is better but well, this teaser is really cool! I like this angry Stalkers...

I looked into it and it's waaaay too big for that quality. I cut the black horizontal space from it, converted the audio to MP3 and recompressed it with DivX on 2000kbps. It's only 7 MB now (was 125 MB :S) and still the same quality (720x480 - now 720x360: no black space at 29fps). I'm uploading it to FileFront now...

Wrong.
You can see the G-Man talking to a scientist in Half-Life 1 at the beginning of "Anomalous Materials".
And in Half-Life 2 you can see the G-Man talking to Colonel Odessa at the "Highway 17" chapter.

The G-Man does exist to everyone else. He isn't some kind of ghost walking around that Gordon only can see.
 
well it just slipped my mind that the G-man appeard to those select few......
maybe those special few are connected into a deeper story than we thought since they are the only ones he appeared to.........and we all have reason to believe that the G-man appeared to Breen aslo



but non-theless............i think we are about to find out some interesting facts about the G-man this time around

G-Man also appeared in every single one of the Gearbox expanisons, although some frustrated elitists probably have a response to that.
 
it was practically confirmed to the player at the END of HL2 that the gman or associated collegues had spoke to breen because if you remember

"Did you not realise Mr.Freeman your contract was open to the highest bidder?"

You can make a comment so specific without having spoken to the Gdood
 
Anybody else think that was rather blatent, having Alex' ass get knocked into the camera? Guess the programmers at valve are still having trouble getting dates...

Looks like a good addon. And who knows, maybe you play barnie in this, thats why the debri on you looks like it came from the city not the tower. Kinda like the HL1 add ons, you play other characters.

This version was a little blurry to me. The Gamespot video seemed to have richer colours and edges that were a little sharper. I didn't really notice that much of a difference to be honest.

Great teaser. I'm really interested in the expansion now.
