Yeah and while you're at it solaris it would be great if you could explain your "Idd I would" comment to French Ninja's post. You know, the one about supporting iraqi kids shooting at (and possibly killing) US troops. Considering you always take this "violence is wrong, war is terrible" stance on everything...

Well the USA are illegally occupying Iraq.

Resistance against an unwanted occupier is justified.

I'm sure the british soldiers were unwanted occupiers as well..do you support the iraqis killing british soldiers? Or do you just have double standards against the united states

Its hard to get my point across here.
The Iraqi resistance is justified in shooting soldiers be they British or American, however there only justified by technicaility, I don't want anyone to die, I want immediate withdrawl to be replaced with a volunteer force if the Iraqis request it. What I want is withdrawl do none of my or your troops die, but our leaders are just rich upperclass buggers, who don't care if they through away some working class lives.

Grrrrrr.

Random fact:

My uncle's a policeman, part of his juristriction is outside of some sort of government building. They've issued him with an MP7. How very awesome.

SEE!!! I told you, next thing there'll be issuing your local postman with an MP5.

My family actually have a history of being in police forces. My dad was in the Military Police, and served in Ireland for some time keeping the peace, before he got shot by a sniper, and rummaging through rubble to find bits of dead children got to him.

What happens when they make youre house a government building?
Okay, I'm being silly now.

I still dom't agree with deploying Armed Police anywhere other than where there is high risk.

My dad could pwn your great uncle. Although, your great uncle kinda pwnt himself, so I'm told.

Resistance to occupation by a foreign army is a lawful right under the fouth geneva convention.

Through the killing of as many civilians as possible?

-Angry Lawyer
He wasn't a provo.

The IRA never aimed to kill civllians, all though they were disgracefully careless.

Tell that to my dad, who had to comb through the wreckage of a car-bomb, and found the severed foot of a ten year old girl, with the shoe still on.

Was it provisional IRA?

No idea, but the fact still remains that he had to pull pieces of children out of rubble. He doesn't like talking about it.

Well whats it got to do with my Grandad, was it even an IRA attack?

Yes. My dad served in Ireland as a peacekeeper. He was constantly under the threat of IRA attacks.

Your grandfather planned to kill people, with a bomb. Innocent people. No matter which way you look at it, it's wrong. If you want to protest against oppression and be listened to, you do it the Martin Luther King way.

Ive no idea who my Great uncle planned to blow up, but if it was civillians then thats wrong, but soldeirs are fair game.
And they tried the Demonstraton method, but troops opened fire killing 14 men.

You really think your uncle planned to blow up soldiers? How many soldiers were there at the Country Mall in my town when we had an IRA bomber telephone and say that he was going to detonate it?

-Angry Lawyer

As far as I understand, the British were peacekeepers in Ireland. Apparently the protestants said something along the lines of: "If you British leave, we'll slaughter the every Catholic in Ireland". It was a loose-loose situtation. And we suffered the bombs. Although today I don't see why we're so worked up over terrorism, since we've lived through at least 30 years of it, quite intensely.

The IRA rarely targetted the military. The majority of their attacks in mainland Britain were on civilians. There's absolutely nothing to be lauded in that. Bunch of ****ing cowards.

Oh don't worry, its a bigger task than I dreamt before.
Its in production, but its going to take some time.

Expect it in maybe a week.
It shall hence forth be know as....
The Reckoning.

Its coming.

Haha, this is awesome.

Does anyone else imagine Solaris in a fedora, hunched over a typewriter and furiously tapping at the keys while the smoke of a dozen cigarettes circles up from the ashtray?

"Goddamnit Mabel, what am I paying you for? That coffee doesn't pour itself! I have only one week to record all my deepest thought and broadcast them to the world!
Now is 'stupid' spelt with one 'e' or two?"

This isn't a double post.
I am simply warning you that a real post of groundbreaking importance is being written as we speak. It's slated for release in March of 2006
