Half-Life 2 doesn't work properly!

I played HL2 alot, but one day, I played the last chapter, and the Elites and the door doesn't do anything. I waited, but they did nothing. I looked in console and I saw an important error:

Scene "citadel/breenoffice.vcd" missing!

I tried reinstalling the game, but it didn't do anything still. Any help please? ;(

Have you tried verifying through steam?

You should wait at least forty minutes for the door to open, and the Elites to act.

I'm willing to bet money that verifying the integrity of your game cache will solve this. Do this by going to the games properties, local files, and verify.

It just depends if you bought it the first month like i did there were some problems(Including yours) Not to try and make you waste you money buy another copy through steam.

I verified it and said no problems found. I looked in the GCF of HL2, looked at the scene files, tried to open a scene, but for some reason it says it isn't able to load.
