Half Life 2 Mod Idea!! Have A Look!

I was recently looking at mods for half life 2 and i didnt really like any of them, besides Goldeneye Source. So i thought what would be a really good mod and the first that came to my mind is whats meant to be the greatest game out.

Halo 3

I'm Guessing at least someone else would of thought of this before i have but i thought i would post it on the most popular Hlf2 forums and see what everyone else would think. -_-

The only problem i thought of it would probaly be making some of the maps such as Narrows or HighGround, and making some of the Weapons.

But i thought i would post it on here because i would not have the paicent to make it -_-

Tell me what you think of Halo 3 : Source! (What i would call it) -_-

I'd say that it would be against copyright, however apart from that, I think that it would be worth a try. Your main problem I think would be the weapons, esp some things such as the sticky grenade. I really gotta try Halo 3 sometime. Its just that I cant afford a 360

lol as soon as i posted this post about 10 mins ago i thought copyright -_- lol but i know what your on about on the weapons part and when u get the chance to play halo 3 take it i have it and what a game it is

A Halo mod would be sweet, the Homefront mod for Battlefield 1942 + Vietnam was great fun.

I'm usually the poster who tries to get people on here to be a bit nicer about the criticism but with this idea i just cant bring myself to do it.

it's a retarded idea, how about just going out and buying halo3 rather than remake it?

Hell, Half Life came out before Halo and it was a better game. Halo was literally a corridor shooter with vehicles.

Fail.

Besides Halo 3 being an average shooter, the project would be too long to finish before people forget about it. I have my doubts about Black Mesa as it is.

I would hardly put it the way Fusion said it, but Halo's the best shooter on XBox, which is the narrowest list of FPS titles ever. People who just play on consoles just don't know any better.

In terms of actual gun-play and level design, Half Life was much better than the original Halo (well, Xen kinda sucked, but better than Halo's generic landscapes that need a compass to navigate).

I can name you a lot of memorable moments in Half Life, but Halo's moments were pretty generic. The only thing that appealed to me in Halo was driving around that island, but Minerva has that covered. HL2 enemies die too fast to show their AI, but Half Life's bullet soaking Marines seemed damn smart at the time by the way they used grenades and flanked you.

To be fair to Project Orion, their concept does involve dinosaurs as well as Master Chiefs and aliens. And the aliens don't look very similar to the Halo aliens.

True, it's mainly the vehicles and armour which bears resemblance. But yes, you've got me with the dinosaurs...haha that still makes me laugh!
