Gordon vs. Master Chief - I give the edge to MC because while both have suits equipped with a personal protective shield, MC's suit recharges automatically after a few seconds while Gordon has to go looking for a recharging station. Otherwise, they're pretty equal in terms of ability.
Xen Aliens vs. The Covenant - This is tricky because while the Xen Aliens have formidable physical attributes, they don't seem to be able to use technology as adeptly as the Covenant do. Physically the Covenant have nothing to match the likes of the Xen heavyweights like the Gargantua(?) and Tentacle but their ability to use advanced weapons systems like the Wraith and Banshee more than make up. Edge goes to the Covenant.
Half-Life Marines vs. Halo Marines - Both show an ability to use stationary heavy weapons. Both show an aptitude for atleast a simple level of tactical judgement. But the HL Marines are more aggressive and more tough. They are especially talented at flushing you out with a few well-placed grenades. Edge goes to the Half-Life Marines.
Hive-hand vs. Needle Gun - Two well-matched weapons. The Hive-hand has a regenerating ammo count while the needle gun ammo explodes after contact thus increasing it's effectiveness. Both weapons feature ammo that can lock on and home in on targets. Draw.
The G-Man vs. Guilty Spark - No contest. Guilty Spark is little more than a floating, deranged C3P0. On the other hand, the G-Man would give serial killers the creeps. Edge, G-Man.
Final score: Draw
